Nyékládháza
Nyékládháza is a small town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, northern Hungary, 20 kilometers from county capital Miskolc.
Miskolctapolca
Miskolctapolca or Miskolc-Tapolca (formerly Görömböly-Tapolca, planned to be Tapolcafürdő after gaining independence from Miskolc, in colloquial speech known as Tapolca) is a suburb of Miskolc, and is one of the most popular tourist towns of Hungary. Not to be confused with Tapolca town in Veszprém County.
Szinva
Szinva is a stream in northern Hungary, a tributary to the river Sajó. It originates in the Bükk Mountains. It is 30 kilometres long, 20 kilometres of which can be found the city of Miskolc, through which the stream flows from west to east. More than 70 bridges were built over the stream, and in parts of the city centre it flows underground. The damming of the streams Szinva and Garadna formed Lake Hámori in Miskolc-Lillafüred around 1770.

National Theatre of Miskolc
The National Theatre of Miskolc is the main theatre of Miskolc, and the oldest theatre company of Hungary. Its current Classicist and Neo-baroque building built between 1847–1857, is in the city centre, in Széchenyi street and is home to not only theatrical plays, but also to events like the International Opera Festival of Miskolc.
Avas
The Avas is a hill of volcanic origin in Miskolc, Hungary. Its top (234 m above sea level, 104 m above the city) is the highest point of Miskolc proper (although other parts, annexed to the city later, lie higher up in the Bükk mountains). On the top stands a TV tower with observation deck which is a former symbol of the city and provides a nice panorama. The name of the hill is an archaic Hungarian word meaning "forbidden".
Ottó Herman Museum
The Ottó Herman Museum is the largest museum of Miskolc, Hungary. It has more than 600,000 artifacts. Its main focus is on archaeology, mineralogy, arts, history and ethnography.
Miskolc Tiszai railway station
The Tiszai Railway Station, operated by Hungarian State Railways, is the largest of two railway stations of the city of Miskolc, Hungary. Despite its name, the station is not close to the river Tisza; it was named after the company that built it.
People's Garden
The People's Garden is a park in Miskolc, Hungary. With an area of 56.921 m² it's the third largest park of Miskolc (after Tapolca-Hejőliget and Csanyik, but since those are in the outer districts, Népkert is the largest park in the city proper. There are many sports facilities in the park.
Martintelep
Martintelep or Martin-Kertváros is a residential area of the city of Miskolc, Hungary. Unlike many other districts that are on the outskirts on the city, Martintelep has never been an independent town. The area was first mentioned in 1908 as the estate of Károly Martin near the classification yard. Károly Martin was the founder and first commander of the fire brigade in Miskolc; today not only the garden town, but also a street bears his name.
Northern Hungary
Northern Hungary is a region in Hungary. As a statistical region it includes the counties Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Heves and Nógrád, but in colloquial speech it usually also refers to Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county. The region is actually in the north-eastern part of the country, but the northwestern part is usually referred to as Northern Transdanubian region. The region's centre and largest city is Miskolc.
Miskolc Gömöri railway station
Miskolc–Gömöri railway station, operated by Hungarian State Railways, is the smaller of two railway stations of the city of Miskolc, Hungary. The railway station was built in the late 19th century and got its name after the historical Gömör county. It was mainly important because it connected the mines and metal factories of Gömör to the city. The railway lines between Miskolc and the towns of Bánréve and Fülek were constructed in the 1870s.
City Centre (Miskolc)
Miskolc City Centre is basically the historical part of the city of Miskolc, Hungary. Most of the other parts of the city were either independent towns and villages previously, or they were built later. Many of the characteristic buildings of Miskolc can be found in the city centre, although the most famous ones, like the castle of Diósgyőr or the Cave Bath of Lillafüred are outside of it.
Palace of Music (Miskolc)
The Palace of Music (Zenepalota) is a building in Bartók square, Miskolc, Hungary. It is the building of the Béla Bartók Secondary School and the Béla Bartók Music Institute (a faculty of the University of Miskolc. ) The Palace was designed by Gyula Waelder in Neo-baroque style and was built between 1926 and 1927. The construction was financed from USA loans, just like that of the Hotel Palace in Lillafüred and the Market Hall on Búza tér.
Görömböly
Görömböly is a former village, now a part of Miskolc, Hungary. It was annexed to the city in 1950. The holiday resort Miskolc-Tapolca once belonged to Görömböly. The village was first mentioned in 1365, in a gift deed by King Sigismund who donated the area to the Balassa family and the monastery of Tapolca.
Cave Bath
The Cave Bath is a thermal bath in a natural cave in Miskolctapolca, which is part of the city of Miskolc, Hungary, another cave bath is only at Sklene Teplice, Slovakia. The thermal water is reputed to reduce joint pain, and since it has a lower salt content than most thermal waters (around 1000 mg/liter), people can bathe in it for much longer, practically an unlimited amount of time. The Cave Bath can be visited all year long, except for January.
St. Anne's Church, Miskolc
The St. Anne's Church is a Roman Catholic parish church on St. Anna Square, Miskolc, Hungary. Locally it is often referred to as "Red Church", because of its red roof. The construction of the building started on July 21, 1816. The church was consecrated on August 3, 1823. The parsonage was completed in 1826, and the church functions as a parish church since then. The church was built in late Baroque style with some Neoclassical elements; the altar and the pulpit are late Neoclassical.
Miskolc-Avas TV Tower
Miskolc-Avas TV Tower (in colloquial speech Avasi kilátó, Avas Lookout Tower) is a 72 metre tall TV tower with an observation deck on the Avas hill in Miskolc, Hungary. The Avas TV Tower was designed by Miklós Hófer and György Vörös, and was built in 1966 in place of a wooden lookout tower. It is commonly regarded as the symbol of the city, even though in the 1990s the bell tower of the Avas church was declared the city's symbol in its place.

The Miskolc subregion is a subregion in Northern Hungary. Its area is 1058 km². With a population of 267,582 (2009) it is the second most populated subregion in Hungary and the most populated in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county. Its centre and largest city is Miskolc; there are five other towns – Sajószentpéter, Felsőzsolca, Alsózsolca, Emőd, Nyékládháza – and thirty-four villages belonging to the subregion.
