Meten-Meer-Zorg is a village located on the West Coast of Demerara in Guyana. The village was settled in the mid-1900s by the nearby workers at the Sugar Estate. The core of the village life was centered around "Middle Street".
Leonora, Guyana
Leonora, Guyana, originally called Plantation Leonora is situated some nine miles from Vreed-en-Hoop. The name Leonora is Dutch coming from the time of Dutch occupation of the country. It originated from the names of two Dutch children, a boy named Leo and a girl named Nora. Leonora encompasses an area of some five square miles, and was once part of the Parish of St. Luke. It stretches from Edinburgh in the East to Stewartville in the west.
