Guazacapán
Guazacapán is a town located in Santa Rosa Department in south-west Guatemala. Guazacapán is also the name of the municipality in Santa Rosa Department around the town of Guazacapán. The municipality of Guazacapán covers 172 km² with a population of some 12,250 as of 2004.
Chiquimulilla
Chiquimulilla is a municipality in the Santa Rosa department of Guatemala. It is located about 20 kilometres from the Pacific coast. The city is an important regional trade location and junction. The most important products are leather goods. Chiquimulilla has 12,700 inhabitants. Some descendants of the Xinca people live in the adjacent area. This ethnicity was almost completely wiped out after the conquest of the Spaniards, mostly from infectious diseases that the Europeans brought in.
