OTE Tower

OTE Tower is a 76-metre-tall tower located in the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center in central Thessaloniki, Greece. The tower opened in 1966 and was renovated in 2005. The tower was designed by Greek architect A. Anastasiadis and was completed in 1965, with the first black and white broadcasts on a Greek television network taking place from the tower in 1966. The tower was also used in the 1970s to support the antennas of an experimental VHF analogue mobile telephone network.

Bey Hamam

Bey Hamam, alternatively known as the "Baths of Paradise", is a Turkish bathhouse located along Egnatia Street in Thessaloniki, east of Panagia Chalkeon. Built in 1444 by sultan Murad II, it was the first Ottoman bath in Thessaloniki and the most important one still standing throughout Greece. For this reason, it is a part of those few important vestiges of Ottoman culture remaining in Thessaloniki and Greece in general. It is a double bath, with two separate parts for men and women.

Lordship of Chios

The Lordship of Chios was founded in 1304, when Benedetto I Zaccaria conquered the Greek island of Chios and received it as a fief from the Byzantine emperor Andronicus II Palaeologus. Chios remained well outside any practical Byzantine authority, however. In 1329, a rebellion of the locals overthrew the Italian Zaccaria family and the island became a Byzantine possession again. In 1345, it fell to the Giustiniani, who held it until 1566, when it finally capitulated to the Ottoman Empire.

Karipeion Melathron

Karipeio Melathro is an Ottoman-period historical building in the center of Thessaloniki, Greece. It is located in the crossroad of Olympiados and F. Dragoumi streets. Its architect is the Italian Vitaliano Pozzeli. Karipio was the official residence of the then Selanik Prefect, who was the political representative of the Ottoman Empire in Macedonia. Church of Hosios David

The Church of Hosios David is a late 5th-century church in Thessaloniki, Greece. In Byzantine times, it functioned as the katholikon of the Latomos Monastery, and received a rich mosaic and fresco decoration, which was renewed in the 12th–14th centuries. The surviving examples are of high artistic quality. Under Ottoman rule, the building was converted into a mosque (probably in the 16th century), until it was reconsecrated as a Greek Orthodox church in 1921, receiving its present name.

Byzantine Bath (Thessaloniki)

The Byzantine Bath of the Upper Town (Greek: Βυζαντινά Λουτρά Άνω Πόλης) in Thesaloniki is the only Byzantine bath that has survived from the middle Byzantine period in Greece. It is located on the Theotokopoulou Street in the Upper Old City of Thessaloniki. The baths date to the late 13th/early 14th century, and functioned continuously until 1940.
