Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (often called the Aristotelian University or University of Thessaloniki) is the largest university in Greece and in the Balkans. It is named after the philosopher Aristotle, who was born in Stageira, about 55 km east of Thessaloniki. Its campus covers 230,000 square metres in the centre of Salonica, with additional educational and administrative facilities elsewhere.
Kaftanzoglio Stadium
Kaftanzoglio Stadium (Καυτανζόγλειο στάδιο) is a sports stadium in Thessaloniki, Greece. The stadium was built with money donated by the Kaftanzoglou Foundation, hence its name. At the time of its opening on 27 October 1960, the stadium was one of the highest quality stadiums in the Balkans. It currently has 27,770 seats, owing to a comprehensive renovation before reopening to host football matches for the 2004 Summer Olympics, which was centred in Athens.

Associated closely with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, AHEPA is located within the extended area of the University. It is a major teaching hospital and part of the ESY (Greek: ΕΣΥ - Εθνικό Σύστημα Υγείας), the National Healthcare System of Greece.

Atatürk Museum (Thessaloniki)
The Atatürk Museum (Greek: Μουσείο Ατατούρκ, Mousío Atatúrk, Turkish: Atatürk Evi Müzesi, Atatürk House Museum) is a historic house museum in Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, Greece. The house is the birthplace of the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who was born here in 1881. It is a three-floor house with a courtyard on 24 Apostolou Pavlou Street, next to the Turkish Consulate.
Heptapyrgion (Thessaloniki)
The Heptapyrgion, modern Eptapyrgio (Επταπύργιο), also popularly known by its Ottoman Turkish name Yedi Kule (Γεντί Κουλέ), is a Byzantine and Ottoman-era fortress situated on the north-eastern corner of the acropolis of Thessaloniki in Greece. Despite its name, which in both languages means "Fortress of Seven Towers", it features ten, and was probably named after the Yedikule Fortress in Constantinople.
Church of Hosios David
The Church of Hosios David is a late 5th-century church in Thessaloniki, Greece. In Byzantine times, it functioned as the katholikon of the Latomos Monastery, and received a rich mosaic and fresco decoration, which was renewed in the 12th–14th centuries. The surviving examples are of high artistic quality. Under Ottoman rule, the building was converted into a mosque (probably in the 16th century), until it was reconsecrated as a Greek Orthodox church in 1921, receiving its present name.
Byzantine Bath (Thessaloniki)
The Byzantine Bath of the Upper Town (Greek: Βυζαντινά Λουτρά Άνω Πόλης) in Thesaloniki is the only Byzantine bath that has survived from the middle Byzantine period in Greece. It is located on the Theotokopoulou Street in the Upper Old City of Thessaloniki. The baths date to the late 13th/early 14th century, and functioned continuously until 1940. The original architecture follows the typical conventions of Roman baths, with a frigidarium, tepidarium and caldarium, each with two rooms.
