Parnitha

Mount Parnitha is a densely forested mountain range north of Athens, the highest on the peninsula of Attica, with an elevation of 1,413 m, and a summit known as Karavola (Καραβόλα). Much of the mountain is designated a national park, and is a protected habitat for wildfowl, first created in 1961. The summit is located 18 km N of Acharnae and about 30 km N of Athens, while the mountain covers approximately 250 km² of land.

Tatoi Palace

Tatoi, located 5 km north of Athens's suburbs, and 27 km from the Athenian Acropolis was the summer palace and 10,000 acre estate of the former Greek Royal Family, and the birthplace of George II of the Hellenes. Acharnae

Acharnae was the largest deme of ancient Attica; it was located in the northwest part of the Attic plain, south of Mt. Parnes in the general vicinity of the modern suburbs of Acharnes and Ano Liosia, about 10 km due north of Athens. The Acharnians chiefly grew cereals, grapes, and olives, although Aristophanes in his comedy The Acharnians caricatures them as charcoal-burners. Pindar characterizes them as notably brave.

Nerantziotissa station

Nerantziotissa station is a complex of two train stations located in Maroussi, Greece, a northern suburb of Athens. The first is a station of the Athens Metro and the second is a suburban railway station. Its name comes from an old Byzantine church, Panagia Nerantziotissa (Παναγία Νεραντζιώτισσα), located nearby. Parnitha Funitel

The Parnitha Funitel on Mont Parness is the successor of an aerial tramway constructed in the 1970s to serve Casino Mont Parnes, the most popular casino in the Athens area, located on one of the peaks of mount Parnitha. Also, it was a common way for Athenians to reach on the peak for family day trips, a popular habit even today. However, since April 2006, a newly-built funitel, replacing the older one, was launched and it continues serving its previous purposes.

Folk Art Museum of Acharnes

The Folk Art Museum of Acharnes is a museum in Acharnes, a northern suburb of Athens, Greece. Bafi Refuge

The Bafi Refuge (also spelt Mpafi) refuge belongs to the Greek Mountaineering Club, E.O.S. Athens founded in 1928 and is in the Mount Parnitha National Park, at an altitude of 1160m, roughly 2.5 km from Mont Parness, inside the national park. Ιn April 1937 the refuge's foundation stone was laid. The first part was completed in the Autumn of 1939 with money that was collected mainly by the members of the Mountaineering Club, but also other affiliated associations.

Tatoi Airport
