University of Ghana
The University of Ghana is the oldest and largest of the thirteen Ghanaian universities and tertiary institutions. It was founded in 1948 as the University College of the Gold Coast, and was originally an affiliate college of the University of London, which supervised its academic programmes and awarded degrees. It gained full university status in 1961, and now has nearly 40,000 students.
Teshie
Teshie is a coastal town in the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal district, a district in the Greater Accra Region of south eastern Ghana. Teshie is the ninth most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 171,875 people. Fort Augustaborg, built by the Danes in 1787, is located in Teshie and was occupied by the British from 1850 to 1957. The national Officer Cadet Training School and Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) are also located here.

Accra Sports Stadium is a multi-use, 40,000 all-seater stadium in Accra, Ghana, mostly used for association football matches. Originally known as the Accra Sports Stadium, the stadium was renamed after Ohene Djan, the country's first Director of Sports, in 2004. Its renaming was quite controversial and opposed by many in Accra's community. There has been ongoing controversy about the name of the stadium.

Accra Sports Stadium disaster
The Accra Sports Stadium disaster occurred at the Accra Sports Stadium, Accra, Ghana on May 9, 2001. It took the lives of 127 people, making it the worst stadium disaster to have ever taken place in Africa. It occurred during a match between Ghana's two most successful football teams, Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club and Asante Kotoko. Trouble had been anticipated, and extra security measures had been taken.
Accra International Conference Centre
The Accra International Conference Centre is an events venue in Accra, Ghana. Other venues include the Ghana Trade Fair and the National Theatre, but the Conference Centre is more popular due to it being significantly larger than the National Theatre, and at the same time smaller than the Ghana Trade Fair Centre (which was built to host pan-African events).
Independence Arch (Accra)
The Independence Arch, part of the Independence Square with the shown Black Star Gate (also called Independence Gate), in Accra, Ghana, inscribed with the words "Freedom and Justice, AD 1957", commemorates the independence of Ghana, a first for Sub Saharan Africa. It contains monuments to Ghana's independence struggle, including the Independence Arch, Independence Square, and the Liberation Day Monument.
Liberation Day Monument
Liberation Day monument is a monument in Accra, Ghana. It stands in honour of several veterans of the Burma campaign, during the Second World War, in which they fought for the British Empire. After returning to Ghana, some protested peacefully and were en route to the Christiansborg Castle, the seat of government, when they were shot to death.

Osu Castle
Osu Castle, also known as Fort Christiansborg or simply the Castle, is a castle located in Osu, Accra, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean's Gulf of Guinea. The first substantial fort was built by the Danish in the 1660s, though the castle has changed hands between Denmark, Portugal, the Akwamu, Britain, and finally post-Independence Ghana, and was rebuilt numerous times.
Wisconsin International University College
The Wisconsin International University College is one of the new private universities in Ghana. It is located at Agbogba Junction near Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was established in January 2000 and is accredited by the National Accreditation Board as a university college certified through the University of Ghana and University of Cape Coast.
Sakumono
Sakumono is a small town in the Tema Metropolitan district, a district in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was originally a small fishing village on a lagoon, but by 2008 is being swallowed up as the twin cities of Accra and Tema merge. Elevation is 71m. Sakumono is one of the biggest towns in Tema and also known as Community 13.
Golden Jubilee House
Flagstaff House is a presidential palace in Accra which previously served as a residence and office to the President of Ghana. The current seat of the government of Ghana is the Osu Castle. Flagstaff house was reconstructed and inaugurated with the name Golden Jubilee House in November 2008 when construction was about 70% - 80% completed.

Nungua is a town in Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal district in the Greater Accra Region of southeastern Ghana near the coast. Nungua is the eighteenth most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 84,119 people.
Akuafo Hall
Akuafo Hall otherwise referred to as the Hall of Excellence is the second Hall of residence to be established in the University College of the Gold Coast now University of Ghana. The Hall has its own statutes governing the administration of its affairs while the affairs of students are organized and supervised by Executives of the Junior Common Room.
Black Star Square
Black Star Square, part of the Black Star Gate, is a public square in Accra, Ghana. Nearby is Accra Sports Stadium and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The Black Star Square is a site for Ghana`s Independence Day parades (every 6th of March) and national festivals. Every visitor is free to take pictures of buildings (including the "Black Star Gate"), but might not be permitted for close up "shots" of the "Independence Arch".
High Commission of Nigeria, Accra
The Nigerian High Commission in Accra is the primary diplomatic mission of Nigeria in Ghana. It is on Joseph Broz Tito Avenue in Accra. The previous High Commissioner was former Senator for Lagos Central Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro, appointed by President Umaru Yar'Adua in May 2008. The High Commissioner in 2012 is Hon. Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan.

The Tetteh Quarshie Interchange is a cloverleaf interchange carrying a six-lane motorway that links the Liberation Road from 37 military hospital to the Pantang junction through Madina in Accra, Ghana. The interchange was commissioned for vehicular use on 27 February 2005 by then president of Ghana, John Kufour.
Ako Adjei Interchange
The Ako-Adjei Interchange is a flyover in Accra, Ghana. Until 2005 it was known as the Sankara Interchange. The construction of interchange started in September 1997 and ended in December 1999. It was constructed during the Jerry Rawlings administration and was the first interchange to be built in Ghana.
