Heligoland Airport
Heligoland Airport is a small airport on the German island of Düne, the smaller of the two isles of the Heligoland archipelago in the North Sea, about 70 kilometres from the mainland. It is licensed for aeroplanes up to 5,700 kilograms maximum takeoff weight and helicopters up to 10,000 kilograms . Due to the limited length of the runways and adverse wind conditions, the approach to and departure from the airport is demanding, requiring experience and good preparation from pilots.

Düne
In physical geography, a dune is a hill of sand built either by wind or water flow. Dunes occur in different forms and sizes, formed by interaction with the flow of air or water. Most kinds of dunes are longer on the windward side where the sand is pushed up the dune and have a shorter "slip face" in the lee of the wind. The valley or trough between dunes is called a slack. A "dune field" is an area covered by extensive sand dunes. Large dune fields are known as ergs.
Heligoland Bird Observatory
The Heligoland Bird Observatory (Vogelwarte Helgoland in German), one of the world's first ornithological observatories, is operated by the Ornithologische Arbeitsgemeinschaft Helgoland e.V. , a non-profit organization which was founded in 1991 to support research on the fauna of Heligoland, a small German archipelago, comprising the islands of Heligoland and Düne, in the Heligoland Bight of the North Sea. The principal research focus is on bird migration through banding studies.
Helgoland radio tower
Helgoland radio tower is a 113 m (370 ft) high transmission tower on the island of Helgoland in Germany. It is owned by the Deutsche Telekom. It was constructed anew in 2000, replacing an older, lower mast that was subsequently demolished, and has some unusual characteristics. It uses a triangular base and, despite being a free-standing tower, is supported by guy wires as well.
Lange Anna
Lange Anna ("Long Anna" or "Tall Anna"), is a 47 metres high sea stack of Buntsandstein in the North Sea island of Helgoland, Germany. Formerly it was also known as Hengst or Mönch, but its real local name is Nathurn Stak (Northern Stack). Climbing the stack is not allowed but tourists can look at the rock from a distance. Lange Anna is somewhat similar to the Old Man of Hoy. In 1969 it was declared a Natural monument.
