Leipzig Bayerischer Bahnhof

The Bayerischer Bahnhof (Bavarian station) in Leipzig is Germany's oldest preserved railway station. It was built in 1842 for the Leipzig–Hof line by the Saxon-Bavarian Railway Company, later taken over by the Royal Saxon State Railways (Königlich Sächsische Staatseisenbahnen) and operated as the Saxon-Bavarian State Railways (Sächsisch-Bayerische Staatseisenbahn). The station was closed in 2001 for the construction of the Leipzig city tunnel.

Reichsgericht

The Reichsgericht (Imperial Court of Justice) was the supreme criminal and civil court in the Deutsches Reich from 1879 to 1945. It was based in Leipzig, Germany. The Supreme Court was established when the Reichsjustizgesetze (Imperial Justice Laws) came into effect and it built a widely regarded body of jurisprudence during the period of the German Empire and Weimar Republic. Gewandhaus

Gewandhaus is a concert hall in Leipzig, Germany, the home of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. Today's hall is the third to bear this name; like the second, it is noted for its fine acoustics. The first Gewandhaus was built in 1781 by architect Johann Carl Friedrich Dauthe. The second opened on 11 December 1884, and was destroyed in the fire-bombings of World War II between 1943 and 1944.

Pleissenburg

The Pleissenburg was a historical building in the city of Leipzig in Saxony which is in modern-day Germany. It was built in the 13th Century by the Margrave Dietrick and named after the river Pleisse which runs nearby. Martin Luther gave the first evangelical sermon in the castle chapel on Pentecost Sunday in 1519. After heavy damage during the siege in the Schmalkaldic War in 1547, the Elector Maurice of Saxony built a fortification with moats.

Paulinerkirche, Leipzig

The Paulinerkirche was a church on the Augustusplatz in Leipzig, named after the "Pauliner", its original Dominican friars. Bach-Archiv Leipzig

Leipzig Panometer

The Leipzig Panometer is an attraction in Leipzig, Germany. It is a visual panorama displayed inside a former gasometer, accompanied by a thematic exhibition. The current theme is the Amazon Rainforest. The Panometer was created in 2003 by the Austrian-born artist Yadegar Asisi, who coined the name as a portmanteau of "panorama" and "gasometer". He opened another Panometer in Dresden in 2006.
