Dresden Airport
Dresden Airport, formerly known as Flughafen Dresden-Klotzsche in German, is the international airport of Dresden, Germany. It is located in Klotzsche, a district of Dresden 9 km north of the city centre. The airport rebranded itself as "Dresden International" in September 2008. In 2008, 1,860,364 passengers passed through the airport, an increase of 0.3% over the previous year and a record for the airport.

Sächsische Dampfschiffahrt
The Sächsische Dampfschiffahrt of Dresden, Germany is the oldest and biggest paddle steamer fleet in the world. It consists of nine wheel steamers, two salon ships and two motor ships. It was formerly known as the White Fleet (Weisse Flotte in German). All the ships have names of Saxon towns and cities or Saxon people like August the Strong. The ships connect Meißen via Dresden to Saxon Switzerland along the river Elbe where they pass some remarkable castles, vineyards and villa quarters.

In the 1980s, ZMDI was regarded as the heart of the GDR-microelectronics research. ZMDI was founded in 1961. ZMDI produced the GDR's first 1-megabyte DRAM U61000 in 1988. However, serial production was not achieved by 1990.

Yenidze
Yenidze is the name of a former cigarette factory building in Dresden, Germany. It was built between 1907 and 1909 and is used today as an office building. It is notable for its Orientalizing exterior design which borrows design elements from mosques. "Yenidze" was the name of a tobacco company started by the entrepreneur Hugo Zietz, which imported tobacco from Ottoman Yenidze, Thrace. The "Oriental" style of architecture publicized the origin of the tobacco.
Ostragehege
Ostragehege is a multi-use sports venue in Dresden, Germany. Key buildings of the venue include the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion and the ice hockey stadium of the Dresdner Eislöwen (or Dresden ice lions). The stadium was the primary aiming point for No. 5 Group RAF squadron during the Dresden bombings of February 1945. Bomb runs were timed and direction calculated to fan out from this point, causing massive devastation and a fire-storm which killed tens of thousands.

The State Museum of Zoology (German: Staatliches Museum für Tierkunde) in Dresden is a natural history museum that houses 10,000-50,000 specimens, including skeletons and large insect collections. Many are types. The collection suffered war damage and whilst catalogued the database is not computerized. Loans are possible and material can be studied in the collection. Waldschlösschen Bridge
The Waldschlösschen Bridge (German: Waldschlößchenbrücke or Waldschlösschenbrücke) is a bridge under construction across the river Elbe in Dresden. The bridge is intended to remedy inner-city traffic congestion. Its construction is highly controversial, as the Dresden Elbe Valley had been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and UNESCO expressed strong concerns against the bridge, noting its intent to withdraw the World Heritage title if the bridge is built.

coloRadio is a non-commercial self-managed Community radio in Dresden made by the registered association "Radio-Initiative Dresden e.V.". coloRadio transmits since 8 July 1993. Since March 1, 2007 it can be heard over 2 weak frequencies, 50 and 100 watts, or over the internet-livestream Monday to Friday 6 to 11 p.m. CET as well as Saturday and Sunday from noon to midnight, 49 hours a week, on 98.4 and 99.3 MHz.
Japanisches Palais
Japanisches Palais is a Baroque building in Dresden, Germany, on the Neustadt bank of the river Elbe. Built in 1715, it was extended from 1729 until 1731 to store the Japanese porcelain collection of Augustus the Strong that is now part of the Dresden Porcelain Collection. However, it was never used for this purpose, and instead served as a library. The Japanisches Palais was partly destroyed during the allied bombing raids on 13 February 1945, but was reconstructed in the 1950s and 1960s.

Sächsische Staatskanzlei
The Sächsische Staatskanzlei (Saxon State Chancellery or Saxon State Chamber) is the office of the Minister-President of Saxony. It is located in Dresden on the northern Elbe river banks and was established in 1995. The Staatskanzlei is managed by the State Minister and Head of the Staatskanzlei. The Free State of Saxony also established a Staatskanzlei between 1918 and 1945.
Johannstadt Neustadt Ferry
The Johannstadt Neustadt Ferry is a passenger ferry across the Elbe river in Germany. It crosses between the districts of Johannstadt and Neustadt in the city of Dresden. The ferry service is operated by the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB), Dresden's municipal transport authority. The service is maintained by one of the DVB's fleet of five passenger ferries. All the vessels are diesel propelled but of different designs. The oldest ferry dates from 1927 and the most recent from 2004.
Augustus Bridge
The Augustus Bridge is the oldest bridge in the city of Dresden, in the state Saxony in Germany. It was built between 1907 and 1910. Crossing the river Elbe, the road bridge connects the Innere Neustadt in the north (right bank) with the historic area of the city in the south (left bank). There has been a bridge at the same location since at least the 12th century. Under king Augustus II the Strong of Saxony, a new sandstone bridge was built between 1727 and 1731.
Sarrasani
Sarrasani is a German circus that reached world fame before World War II and was resident in Dresden, but became also known as national circus of Argentina during the years of German separation. Sarrasani was founded by Hans Stosch, a clown with the stage name Giovanni Sarrasani, who was born 1873 in Poznań. Stosch came 1901 to Radebeul near Dresden and the circus had its official premiere 1902 in Meißen.
Dresden Museum of Ethnology
The Museum of Ethnology Dresden (German: Museum für Völkerkunde Dresden) contains an ethnographic collection with more than 90,000 artefacts from all parts of the earth. It is part of the Dresden State Art Collections. Founded in 1875, the museum presents continually changing exhibitions in the Japanisches Palais, a Baroque building complex in Dresden, Germany. The collection has its origins in the cabinet of curiosities established by Augustus, Elector of Saxony in 1560.
Staatsschauspiel Dresden
The Staatsschauspiel Dresden is a theatre on Theaterstraße in Dresden. It is maintained by the Free State of Saxony, hence its name. It is made up of a main auditorium (the Schauspielhaus) and a studio theatre (the Kleine Haus). It was created in 1983 and housed in the old Staatstheater Dresden.

Albertstadt
The Albertstadt is a neighboorhood of Dresden, Germany. It was named after Albert of Saxony, who initiated the build of this suburb. At that time it was the biggest coherent barrack arrangement of Germany. Today, the Military History Museum of the German Federal Armed Forces is located in one of the former military arsenals. Though being the major military center of the region, the quarter was not specially attacked in the 1945 allied bombings and it suffered only marginal destruction.
Innere Neustadt (Dresden)
The Innere Neustadt ('Inner New City') is a neighborhood in Dresden within the administrative district of Neustadt. The name is derived from "Neuen Königlichen Stadt" ('New Royal City'), the name given to the former district of 'Altendresden' when it was rebuilt after a fire before 1732. In contrast to the Äußere Neustadt ('Outer New City'), the Innere Neustadt was within the city fortifications and, for that reason, is also known as the historic Neustadt.
Klotzsche
Klotzsche is a district of Dresden, Germany. Based on northern hills of the Elbe valley it hosts the major Dresden weather station and the airport of the city. In contains some historic villa areas but is not an extraordinary quarter of preference to live in. Situated close to the Dresden Heath and major industry locations of Silicon Saxony it can easily be reached from the city center with the tram number 7, commuter trains and urban and suburban bus lines. Klotzsche is neighbored by Hellerau.
St Francis Xavier Church, Dresden
The St Francis Xavier Church (katholische Kirche St. Franziskus Xaverius or Katholische Pfarrkirche zu Dresden-Neustadt) was a Roman Catholic church dedicated to St Francis Xavier in the Innere Neustadt district of Dresden. It was built from 1852 to 1853, severely damaged by bombing in 1945 and demolished after the end of the Second World War.
