Am Freitag, 11.10., machte das radio SAW Glücksbad zum letzten Mal vor der Herbstpause Station in Schönebeck. Gewinnerin Mareen aus Kleinmühlingen gewann 3.000 Euro.

Schönebeck (district)
Schönebeck was a district (Kreis) in the middle of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) the district-free city Magdeburg, the districts Jerichower Land, Anhalt-Zerbst, Köthen, Bernburg, Aschersleben-Staßfurt and Bördekreis.
Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg
The Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg was founded in 1993 and is one of the youngest universities in Germany. The university in Magdeburg has about 14,000 students in nine faculties. There are 11,700 papers published in international journals from this institute. It is named after the physicist (and mayor of Magdeburg) Otto von Guericke, famous for his experiments with the Magdeburg hemispheres.

Jahrtausendturm
Jahrtausendturm is, at 60 metres, the third highest wooden tower in the world, after the radio towers in Rottenbuch (Germany) and Gliwice (Poland). It was established on the occasion of the Bundesgartenschau 1999 in the Magdeburger Elbauenpark in Magdeburg, Germany. The tower houses an exhibition on the development of sciences, which is supported by many descriptive experiments with which the visitor can interact.

Westerhüsen Ferry
The Westerhüsen Ferry is a cable ferry across the Elbe river in the city of Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The ferry links the districts of Westerhüsen, on the left bank, and Randau- Calenberge opposite. The ferry is operated by the Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe (MVB). It is 27.42 metres long and 7.73 metres wide, and can carry 45 passengers or 4 cars.

The Gruson-Gewächshäuser, more formally known as the Gruson-Gewächshäuser Magdeburg Exotische Pflanzensammlung, is a botanical garden located in greenhouses at Schönebecker Strasse 129 b, Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. They are open daily except Monday. The garden was created by industrialist and plant collector Hermann Gruson, who upon his death in 1895 bequeathed his extensive succulent collection and 100,000 Marks to the city of Magdeburg.
