Reisbach (Saar)
Reisbach is a small town, belonging to the district of Saarlouis in the Bundesland Saarland. The village was formed on April 1, 1937, when the two townships of Reisweiler and Labach were joint together as "Reisbach". Reisweiler was first mentioned as "Radisville" in 1154. The Germanic name "Radi" means "father of the town council", which, together with the "-ville" suffix meaning "farmland", yields the meaning of "Reisweiler" as "Radi's Farmland".

Thalexweiler is a very small village in the southwest German province of Saarland. The next big city is Lebach with approximately 10.000 inhabitants. The main part of the village has been founded in 1235 but some parts are a little bit older. The church of the village has been first mentioned in historical documents in the 9th century. The village has approximately 2100 inhabitants which live on an area of 541ha.

Malstatt-Burbach
Malstatt-Burbach joined the former Saarbrücken (now called Alt-Saarbrücken) and Sankt Johann to form the present city of Saarbrücken in 1909. Malstatt received municipal rights in 1321. These, however, were afterwards resigned to the newer town of Saarbrücken, and in 1818 Malstatt and Burbach were two small villages with a joint population of only about 800.
Saar (League of Nations)
The Territory of the Saar Basin, also referred as the Saar or Saargebiet, was a region of Germany occupied and governed by the United Kingdom and France from 1920 to 1935 under a League of Nations mandate. Initially, the occupation was under the auspices of the Treaty of Versailles. Its population in 1933 was 812,000, and its capital was Saarbrücken. The Territory closely corresponds with the modern German state of Saarland, but was slightly smaller in area.

Neue Bremm
Neue Bremm was a Nazi torture camp in Saarbrücken, designed to break prisoners who were not destined for extermination. Most prisoners were held for only a few weeks but during that time they were broken and sent on to Nazi concentration camps such as Buchenwald. Short term torture camps like Neue Bremm were called Straflager. The torture is reported to have included hopping crouched for 6 to 8 hours a day. Further, they were starved and deprived of sleep.

The Landtag of Saarland is the state diet of the German federal state of Saarland. It convenes in Saarbrücken and currently consists of 51 members of five parties. The current Minister-President of Saarland is Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer. After the collapse of the Jamaica Coalition between the CDU, FDP and The Greens in January 2012, the Saarland was governed by a minority government consisted solely of the Christian Democratic Union that held 19 seats, which was 7 seats short of a majority.
Bist (river)
The Bist is a river in France and in Germany, and a 26.3 kilometres left tributary of the Saar. The Bist begins near the French village of Boucheporn, Lorraine and flows northeastward to Creutzwald. From there it follows the France-Germany border northward 3 kilometres to Überherrn, then flows eastward to Werbeln and northward to join the Saar immediately north of the Autobahn 620 bridge in Wadgassen, Saarland. The Saar is a tributary of the Moselle, which is a tributary of the Rhine
