Meiderich belongs to the city district Meiderich/Beeck, which started in 1975, during the course of municipal reorganization. On 31 December 2004, 75,000 people lived in the district. Meiderich/Beeck has seven quarters: Beeck, Beeckerwerth, Bruckhausen, Laar, Mittel, Ober and Untermeiderich.
Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena
Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena (formerly known as MSV-Arena) is a football stadium in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, built in 2004. The stadium is the home of MSV Duisburg and holds 31,500 people. It was built on the site of the old Wedaustadion. The stadium was the venue of the 2005 World Games.

Ruhrort is a district within the German city of Duisburg situated north of the confluence of the Ruhr and the Rhine, in the western part of the Ruhr area. Ruhrort has the largest river harbour in the World, with quays extending nearly 40 kilometres along the river, and it is the principal inland shipping port in Germany.
Rhine–Herne Canal
The Rhine–Herne Canal is a 45.6-kilometre long transportation canal in the Ruhr area of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with five canal locks. The canal was built over a period of eight years (5 April 1906 - 14 July 1914) and connects the harbour in Duisburg on the Rhine with the Dortmund-Ems Canal near Henrichenburg, following the valley of the Emscher. It was widened in the 1980s.

Rhine Orange
Rheinorange (Rhine Orange) is the name of a sculpture erected in Duisburg-Neuenkamp in 1992 at the point where the Ruhr flows into the Rhine at 'Rheinkilometer 780', i.e. 780 km from the source of the Rhine. It was constructed from steel by the sculptor Lutz Fritsch from Köln. It is 25 m tall, 7 m wide and 1 m thick, and weights 83 tonnes. The cost was over 400.000 DM, which was donated by IHK Niederrhein after an initiative by employees. The name Rheinorange is actually a play on words.
Landfermann-Gymnasium
Landfermann-Gymnasium (LfG) is situated in the city centre of Duisburg, Germany. It is a municipal grammar school for boys and girls, and is one of the oldest schools in Germany. Founded before 1280 as Schola Duisburgensis, the school was transformed into a Latin school in 1559, which today's Landfermann-Gymnasium acknowledges as its official founding year.
Duisburg Inner Harbour
The Innenhafen (Inner Harbour) in Duisburg, encompassing an area of 89ha. , was for over a hundred years, during the high point of the Industrial Revolution, the central harbour and trading point of the town. Since the mid-60s, the importance of the harbour declined and it lay in a disused condition for 20 years, before plans for renovation were drawn up.
German Inland Waterways Museum
The German Inland Waterways Museum (Museum der Deutschen Binnenschifffahrt) is located in Ruhrort, Duisburg at the nucleus of Duisburg-Ruhrorter ports which today make up the largest European inland harbour complex. The museum was founded in 1974 with purchase of the museum ship Oscar Huber.
Museum Küppersmühle
Museum Küppersmühle (MKM) is a Centre for Modern and Contemporary Art based Duisburg's Inner Harbour. It houses the Ströher Collection. It is part of the Duisburg: Town and Harbour section of the Ruhr Industrial Heritage Trail.
Duisburg Canals
The Duisburg Canals are part of the master plan developed by Foster and Partners for the reconstruction of the Duisburg Inner Harbour. They are part of the Duisburg: Town and Harbour section of the Ruhr Industrial Heritage Trail. An eastern port area was created separated from the rest of the port by the forming an artificial lake 26 m above sea level. The water level is maintained by ensuring that rainwater is channeled into the basin.
Werhahnmühle
The Werhahnmühle is a complex of offices, restaurants and a museum located in Duisburg's Inner Harbour It occupies the former silo and mill buildings of the Rheinische Mühlenwerke Werhahn. It is part of the Duisburg: Town and Harbour section of the Ruhr Industrial Heritage Trail.
Love Parade disaster
On 24 July 2010, a crowd disaster at the 2010 Love Parade electronic dance music festival in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, caused the death of 21 people from suffocation. At least 510 more were injured. The Love Parade was a popular and free access festival and parade that originated in 1989 in Berlin. The parade featured stages, but had floats with music, DJs and dancers moving through the audience.

The Ruhrort–Homberg train ferry was a German train ferry on the Rhine between Ruhrort and Homberg, now districts of Duisburg.
Duisburg-Hochfeld Railway Bridge
The Duisburg–Hochfeld Railway Bridge spans the Rhine in the German city of Duisburg on the Duisburg-Ruhrort–Mönchengladbach line. The first bridge was built by the Rhenish Railway Company and put into operation at the end of 1873. It was replaced by a new bridge in 1927, which was badly damaged during the Second World War, but rebuilt and is still serves rail traffic between the Ruhr region and Aachen.
Auf dem Damm (VRR)
Auf dem Damm is an underground Stadtbahn Rhein-Ruhr station, located in Duisburg-Meiderich, named after the street "Auf dem Damm", under which it is located. The station was opened in 2000, when the overground tram route from Meiderich to Duissern was replaced by the underground section. The former route was not guided via Auf dem Damm, so before the opening of the new line, this area had no connection to the light rail network. Auf dem Damm station was designed by Eberhard Bosslet.
König-Heinrich-Platz (VRR)
König-Heinrich-Platz is an underground Stadtbahn station in central Duisburg, located under the Königstraße, west of the square after which it is named. It consists of two island platforms located on two levels. The upper one is used by trains from or to southern Duisburg, the lower one by trains from or to the Ruhrort and all trains terminating here.

Duissern is an underground light rail station in the district of Duissern, Duisburg, located under Duissernstraße, near the local employment agency. The station is served by U79 and 903 lines of Duisburg stadtbahn, which is part of Stadtbahn Rhein-Ruhr. It also offers connections to several local bus lines that stop above the station.
