Ruhr University Bochum
Ruhr University Bochum (German Ruhr-Universität Bochum, RUB), located on the southern hills of central Ruhr area Bochum, was founded in 1962 as the first new public university in Germany since World War II. Instruction began in 1965. The Ruhr-University Bochum is one of the largest universities in Germany and part of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, the most important German research funding organization.
Herbede
Since 1975 the former city of Herbede is a part of the city of Witten. As one of the eight boroughs of Witten it now calls Witten-Herbede. Before the incorporation with Witten in 1975 Herbede has been a city in the administrative district Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis. Herbede is placed about 5 kilometres southwest of the City of Witten in the southern Ruhr area in the Ruhr valley and has about 15,000 inhabitants today.
Stiepel
Stiepel is a southern district of the City of Bochum in the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is on the Ruhr River, which is its border to the neighbouring cities of Hattingen and Witten. Stiepel used to be a municipality in the rural district of Bochum, but was integrated into Bochum in 1929. Stiepel is the most affluent part of Bochum. It has an old village church dating from 1008.

Burg Blankenstein
Burg Blankenstein is a castle located on the south side of the river Ruhr in Hattingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. May 12th 1226 Adolf I, Count of the Mark, gave the order to build the castle. He charged Truchsess Ludolf von Bönen to set up Blankenstein. Beginning in 1227, the castle was ready in 1243, but built over the course of 200 years by the Counts of the Mark. In 1425 Blankenstein is one of the most important castles in the county.

Stiepel Priory is a Cistercian monastery in Stiepel in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was founded in 1988 at the instigation of Franz Hengsbach, first Bishop of the Diocese of the Ruhr. It is a dependent house of Heiligenkreuz Abbey in Austria. Hardenstein Castle
Hardenstein Castle is a ruined castle in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The remains lie east of Herbede on the Ruhr River, surrounded by mountains, and are not easily accessible. Nearby ruins show that the castle was once part of an important mining centre, probably dating to the Middle Ages; the earliest records, from the 16th century, support this. The castle features in the legend of the Nibelungs.
Witten Central Station
Witten Central Station (Witten Hauptbahnhof) is a railway station in the town of Witten in western Germany. It is situated southwest of the town. In 1849 the station was opened as Witten West by the Bergisch-Märkische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft. At the end of the 19th century the whole station was reconstructed, the new station building was designed by the architect Richard Witten Sauerbruch and opened in 1901. The Botanischer Garten der Ruhr-Universität Bochum (13 hectares), also known as the Botanischer Garten Bochum, is a botanical garden maintained by the Ruhr University Bochum. It is located at Universitätsstraße 150, Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and open daily without charge. The garden was founded in 1968 and subsequently has been continuously expanded and improved.
Albert-Einstein-Schule
Albert-Einstein-Schule was a Gymnasium for boys and girls from grades 5-13 in Bochum, Germany. It had about 900 students. Just south of downtown Bochum, the school was in the Wiemelhausen section of town and shared a campus with the Hans Böckler Realschule. The school had an emphasis in natural science and English. It had a bilingual program, where some classes were taught in English, rather than German. Albert-Einstein-Schule was certified as a European School in February 2008.

The platform is accessible by stairs, escalator or lift. It was opened in 1993 at the end of an extension of Line S 4 trains of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn. Trains reverse here in order to return to Unna station. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.
