Dahlhausen
Dahlhausen is a South-Western district of the city of Bochum in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. It borders to Essen and Hattingen. A large part of the border of Dahlhausen is formed by the river Ruhr. South of the Ruhr is the district of Burgaltendorf of the city of Essen. Dahlhausen houses the well known railway museum of Dahlhausen. The Dr. C. Otto & Comp. is an old company of international importance. Bochum-Dahlhausen station is served by Line S 3 of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn.

Höntrop is a district of the City of Bochum in the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The population used to speak the Westphalian dialect, but now standard German is the norm. Höntrop borders inter alia to Freisenbruch, which belongs to Essen, another city, and Linden a district of Bochum. Höntrop belongs to the Stadtbezirk (district of the town) of Wattenscheid. Höntrop has a railway line to Düsseldorf and Dortmund and a tram line to Heven, a part of Witten.

Graf-Engelbert-Schule
Graf-Engelbert School is an urban high school for boys and girls in Bochum, Germany. Near the center of the city and the tree-lined Königsallee, it is located on Else-Hirsch-Straße. Else Hirsch was a teacher in Bochum during the Third Reich and organized ten children's transports, saving many lives, though she herself perished in the Holocaust. Graf-Engelbert School is only a few hundred meters from the Schiller School (also a high school).

It is a hospital of the Ruhr-University Bochum and part of the University Hospitals of the Ruhr-University of Bochum.
Gymnasium am Ostring
The Gymnasium am Ostring was the oldest gymnasium in Bochum. It was founded in 1860 and closed after the 2009-2010 school year. The school was located in downtown Bochum, near the main train station. In the 2005-2006 school year, there were 786 students and 55 teachers. In the early 80s, the school had over 1,000 students. The peak enrollment was 1,310 in the 1980-1981 school year. In humanities tradition, the school offered Latin, ancient Greek, and Hebrew.

Albert-Einstein-Schule
Albert-Einstein-Schule was a Gymnasium for boys and girls from grades 5-13 in Bochum, Germany. It had about 900 students. Just south of downtown Bochum, the school was in the Wiemelhausen section of town and shared a campus with the Hans Böckler Realschule. The school had an emphasis in natural science and English. It had a bilingual program, where some classes were taught in English, rather than German. Albert-Einstein-Schule was certified as a European School in February 2008.

Wattenscheid station
