Lanxess Arena (originally Kölnarena, German for Cologne Arena) is an indoor arena, in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The arena opened in 1998 and can accommodate 20,000 people. It is primarily used by VfL Gummersbach, Kölner Haie, and as a concert venue. The arena is spanned by a steel arch supporting the roof via steel cables. The height of the arch is 76 m and its weight is 480 tons.
Deutz Abbey
Deutz Abbey (German: Kloster or Abtei Deutz) was a Benedictine monastery located at Deutz, now part of Cologne as Köln-Deutz, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was founded in 1003 on the site of a Roman fort by the future Saint Heribert, Archbishop of Cologne, close adviser of Emperor Otto III. Heribert died in 1021 and was buried in the Romanesque church he had had built here. The theologian Rupert of Deutz was abbot during the 1120s.

The Deutz Suspension Bridge was a self-anchored suspension bridge using eyebar chains, across the Rhine at Deutz in Cologne, Germany. It was built from 1913 to 1915. In 1935, it was named Hindenburg Bridge after the Germany's second President deceased the previous year. It collapsed on 28 February 1945 during repair works and was replaced in 1948 by the world's first steel box girder bridge designed by Fritz Leonhardt and Gerd Lohmer. H. D. Köln Messe/Deutz station
Köln Messe/Deutz is a railway station in Deutz, Cologne, a right-Rhenish district of the city of Cologne, Germany. It is situated close to the River Rhine and via the Hohenzollernbrücke, just a several hundred metres away from Köln Hauptbahnhof, the city's main station. Directly north of the station are the Cologne Trade Fair grounds, hence the name Messe.
Hohenzollern Bridge
The Hohenzollern Bridge is a bridge crossing the river Rhine in the German city of Cologne (German Köln). It crosses the Rhine at kilometre 688.5. Originally, the bridge was both a railway and street bridge, however, after its destruction in 1945 and its subsequent reconstruction, it was only accessible to rail and pedestrian traffic. It is the most heavily used railway bridge in Germany, connecting the Köln Hauptbahnhof and Köln Messe/Deutz stations.
Rheinpark
The Rheinpark is a 40 hectare (0,4 km²) large urban park along the right bank of the River Rhine in Cologne, Germany. The park lies between the Cologne districts of Deutz and Mülheim and includes a beach club, an open air theater (the Tanzbrunnen) and a Roman Thermae styled public bath (the Claudius-Therme). It has been voted Germany's best park in 2007.
Great St. Martin Church, Cologne
The Great Saint Martin Church (German: Groß Sankt Martin, mostly Groß St. Martin) is a Romanesque Catholic church in Cologne, Germany. Its foundations (circa 960 AD) rest on remnants of a Roman chapel, built on what was then an island in the Rhine. The church was later transformed into a Benedictine monastery. The current buildings, including a soaring crossing tower that is a landmark of Cologne's Old Town, were erected between 1150-1250.

Imhoff-Schokoladenmuseum
The Imhoff-Schokoladenmuseum (Imhoff chocolate museum) was opened by Hans Imhoff on 31 October 1993. It is situated in the Cologne quarter of Altstadt-Süd on the Rheinauhafen peninsula. The exhibits show the entire history of chocolate, from its beginnings with the Olmecs, Maya and Aztecs to contemporary products and production methods. With 5,000 guided tours and 675,000 visitors a year, the museum is in the Top Ten of German museums.

Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule Köln) is a higher education institution in Cologne, Germany, established in 1971. It was created from a merger of numerous smaller colleges, the oldest of which was the Royal Provincial Trade School, founded in 1833, and renamed Trade College of the City of Cologne on 15 December 1879. The Cologne University of Applied Sciences is the largest university of Applied Sciences in Germany by number of students.
Rheinauhafen
The Rheinauhafen (lit. Rheinau harbour) is a 15.4 hectares urban regeneration project in Cologne, Germany, located along the River Rhine between the Südbrücke (Southern Railway Bridge) and Severinsbrücke (Severin Bridge), just south of the inner city's historic old town. The project is set around the actual Rheinauhafen, a formerly commercial harbour developed during the 1880s, and spans 2 kilometres in the north-south direction and 200 metres east-west at its widest.
Innenstadt, Cologne
Innenstadt is the central city district of the City of Cologne in Germany. The district was established with the last communal land reform in 1975, and comprises Cologne's historic old town (Altstadt), the Gründerzeit era new town (Neustadt) plus the right-Rhenish district of Deutz. Innenstadt has about 127,000 inhabitants (as of December 2008) and covers an area of 16.4 square kilometres.
Lintgasse
Lintgasse is an alley in the Old town of Cologne, Germany between the two squares of Alter Markt and Fischmarkt. It is a pedestrian zone and only some 130 metres long, nevertheless famous for its medieval history. The Lintgasse was first mentioned in the 12th century as »in Lintgazzin«, which may have derived from basketmakers described, weaving fish baskets out of Linden tree barks. These craftsmen were called »Lindslizer«, meaning Linden splitter.
Sporthalle (Cologne)
Sporthalle was an indoor arena in Cologne, Germany. It was primarily used for basketball and other indoor sporting events until it closed due to the larger Lanxess Arena opening. The arena held 8,000 spectators and opened in 1958. While it was opened it hosted the 1982 European Champions Cup final and was the regular home venue for BSC Saturn Köln basketball team.
KölnTriangle
KölnTriangle (formerly also known as LVR-Turm) is a 103.2 metres tall building in Deutz, Cologne, and a prominent landmark in Cologne. The building was designed by Dörte Gatermann of Cologne-based architecture firm Gatermann + Schossig and completed in 2006. Its south facade consists of a double-facade, allowing natural ventilation even at high floors. Next to the high-rise structure, part of KölnTriangle is also a much larger 6-storey office block with a total gross floor area of 84.300 m².

The memorial for the gay and lesbian victims of the National Socialism (NS) in German homosexual metropolis Cologne reminds mainly of the homosexual following then in a prominent place in the urban features of Cologne at the bank of the Rhine at the Hohenzollernbrücke since 1995. The second memorial not formed as a plaque was built by homosexuals with that to the memory of the following in Germany in Cologne on June 24th, 1995.

Hänneschen-Theater is a traditional puppetry-theatre in Cologne, Germany. It was established in the year 1802. The stage is situated in a building on Eisenmarkt in downtown Cologne. The pieces are set in Knollendorf, a fictional village somewhere in the outskirts of Cologne. The popular puppets represent fictional characters who embody typical traits of cologne people, so Tünnes and Schäl, Hänneschen and Bärbelchen, as well as other unique characters.

The Tauzieher (German for "rope puller") is a limestone sculpture by Nikolaus Friedrich which was erected in 1911 in Rheinauhafen, Cologne, Germany. It depicts a man making a heavy rope or hawser fast to a bollard and is 6.5 metres (21 feet) in height. In 1980, it was listed as one of the first heritage sites in Cologne.
