Hammerschmidt Villa
Villa Hammerschmidt was designated the official residence of the President of Germany in 1951. Located in the former West German capital of Bonn, it remained the official residence of the President until the government offices were returned to the recently-reunified Berlin in 1994. President Richard von Weizsäcker made Schloss Bellevue in Berlin his primary official residence; since that time the Hammerschmidt Villa has served as a secondary residence.

The Aloisiuskolleg is a co-educational, private and Catholic University-preparatory school in Bonn-Bad Godesberg, Germany with an affiliated boarding school directed by the Jesuits. The Bundeseisenbahnvermögen (BEV) is a special authority of the Federal Republic of Germany. It was called into existence by the Eisenbahnneuordnungsgesetz (Railway Re-organisation Act; ENeuOG) dated December 27, 1993. With its current budget of € 7.7 billion, it is administered by the Federal Transport Ministry and the Federal Finance Ministry. The authority is the employer of all civil servants formerly belonging to the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the Deutsche Reichsbahn.

Schürmann-Bau
The Schürmann-Bau is an office building in Bonn, named after its architect Joachim Schürmann. The building houses the headquarters of the Deutsche Welle, after being originally planned for the members of parliament. The construction site was heavily damaged in spring 1993 by a flood of the Rhine. During the construction period there was no flood control installed. Only in 1997, the damaged building was renovated. Estimated costs were 700 million Euros.

It is part of the Deutsches Museum in Munich. It is the ninth tallest skyscraper in Germany, and the tallest in Germany outside of Frankfurt am Main.

Destruction of the Oberstift
The destruction of the Oberstift, which included Linz, Ahrweiler, and other small towns and villages, occurred in the opening months of the Cologne War, from Christmas Day, 1582 until the end of March, 1583. Over these few weeks, armies of the competing archbishops of Cologne burned the southern-most villages, cloisters, and small towns.
Siege of Godesberg
The Siege of Godesberg, 18 November – 17 December 1583, was the first major siege of the Cologne War (1583–1589). Seeking to wrest control of an important fortification, Bavarian and mercenary soldiers surrounded the Godesberg ("Wotan's Mountain"), and the village then of the same name, now Bad Godesberg ("Wotan's Mountain Spa"), located at its foot.
Godesburg
The Godesburg is a castle in Bad Godesberg, a formerly independent part of Bonn, Germany. Built in the early 13th century on the Godesberg, a hill of volcanic origin, it was largely destroyed following a siege in 1583 at the start of the Cologne War. In 1891, the German emperor Wilhelm II donated the castle's ruin to the city of Bad Godesberg. In 1959, the ruin was rebuilt according to plans by Gottfried Böhm, to house a hotel and restaurant.
Bundeshaus (Bonn)
The Bundeshaus is a building complex in Bonn, Germany, which functioned as the site of the plenary sessions of the German Bundestag between 1949 and 1999. The main building, constructed between 1930 and 1933, served as a Pedagogical Academy until the end of the Second World War. After the resolution of the Hauptstadtfrage (Capital Question) in 1949 in favor of Bonn, the structure was converted into the provisional home of the Bundestag and Bundesrat.
