Brunswick Cathedral
The Brunswick Cathedral (German: Dom St. Blasii, lit. in English: Collegiate Church of Ss. Blaise and John the Baptist) is a large Lutheran church in the City of Braunschweig (Brunswick), Germany. Henry the Lion founded it as a collegiate church and it was built between 1173 and 1195. The church is termed Dom, in German a synecdoche - pars pro toto - used for cathedrals and collegiate churches alike, and much like the Italian Duomo, is imperfectly translated here by the English cathedral.

Brunswick (German Braunschweig) is one of the four former administrative regions of Lower Saxony, Germany, located in the southeast of the state. The region covers roughly the area of the former state of Brunswick-Lüneburg. Founded in 1978 out of Verwaltungsbezirk Braunschweig, it was dissolved in 2004. Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum
The Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum (HAUM) is an art museum in the German city of Braunschweig, Lower Saxony. Founded in 1754, the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum is one of the oldest museums in Europe. It houses a collection of masters of Western art, including Cranach, Holbein, Van Dyck, Vermeer, Rubens, and Rembrandt. The museum is based on the Schloss Salzdahlum art collection of Anthony Ulrich, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg (1633–1714), after whom it is named.

Asse (hills)
The Asse is a small hill range in the district of Wolfenbüttel in southeastern Lower Saxony with a median height of 200 metres ASL; the highest elevation is the Remlinger Herse with a height of 234 m. There are more than 600 different plants found here; the Asse is mostly covered by trees. It has been inhabited since the 6th millennium BC by farmers coming from the Danube region. For several hundred years, salt has been mined in Asse.

Riddagshausen Abbey
Riddagshausen Abbey (Kloster Riddagshausen) was a Cistercian monastery just outside the city of Brunswick in Germany. It was founded as Marienzelle by Ludolf the Wend, a ministerialis of Henry the Lion and steward of Brunswick, and settled in 1145 by monks from Amelungsborn Abbey. Henry endowed the new foundation in 1146 with the neighbouring village of Riddagshausen, from which it took its name. The abbey early acquired reichsunmittelbar status as an Imperial abbey.

Botanischer Garten der Technischen Universität Braunschweig
The botanical garden of the TU Braunschweig (Botanischer Garten der Technischen Universität Braunschweig) was founded in 1840 by Johann Heinrich Blasius on the banks of the River Oker on the grounds of the former stately mansion in the woods of Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany. It was originally started in 1828 on the opposite bank of the Oker - a much smaller garden by Blasius, who sought a larger site. The old garden was lost in 1868.

Fachhochschule Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel
Ostfalia Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften (German for "Eastphalia University of Applied Sciences", known as Fachhochschule Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel until 2009), is a Fachhochschule in eastern Lower Saxony, Germany. The predecessor of the college, Staatliche Ingenieurschule Wolfenbüttel (State Engineering School Wolfenbuettel), was founded in 1928. It merged with two other independent institutions in August 1971.
Brunswick Palace
Brunswick Palace (German: Braunschweiger Schloss or Braunschweiger Residenzschloss) on the Bohlweg in the centre of the city of Brunswick, was the residence of the Brunswick dukes from 1753 to 8 November 1918. Work on the first building was begun in 1718 under the direction of Hermann Korb. After this building burned down in 1830, a second palace was built by Carl Theodor Ottmer, being completed in 1841.

Schloss Salzdahlum
Schloss Salzdahlum was a former summer palace built by Anthony Ulrich, Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel in 1684. It was dismantled in 1813 but parts of it can still be seen in the town of Salzdahlum. Located between Braunschweig and Wolfenbüttel, the palace was the location where Frederick II of Prussia married Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Queen of Prussia in 1733.
Naturhistorisches Museum (Braunschweig)
The Naturhistorische Museum Braunschweig is a zoology museum in Braunschweig. The museum was founded in 1754. The scientific collections include 3,000 mammal specimens, 50,000 bird specimens, 10,300 bird eggs, 4,000 skulls and skeletons, 1,000 fish, amphibians and reptile specimens. Insects are represented by 80,000 Lepidoptera and 85,000 Coleoptera and there are 100,000 mollusca and 5,000 fossils.

The Academy for Youth Leadership (German: Akademie für Jugendführung) was a Hitler Youth (HJ) leadership school in Braunschweig. Any "Hitler Youth who is above reproach in terms of descent, health, performance, and behavior" was eligible for the one-year academy course if he had completed his labor and military service and had already taken some leadership courses. Successful completion of the academy course obligated the graduate to twelve years of HJ service.
