University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover
The University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover (German: Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, TiHo) is a university in Hanover and one of the five facilities for veterinary medicine in Germany, and the only one that remains independent. It is often referred to as TiHo by its staff and students. According to the website there are currently about 2,400 university students, 2,000 of which study veterinary medicine, and 50 study biology.
Hanover Zoo
Hanover Zoo is located in the city centre of Hanover, Germany. The zoo was established on May 4, 1865, and comprises an area of 22 hectares. Currently, it is home to about 3,414 animals in 237 species, which are cared for by more than 400 employees in the summer season (stocktaking 2010).
Sprengel Museum
The Sprengel Museum in Hanover houses one of the most significant collections of modern art in Germany. It is located in a building designed by Peter and Ursula Trint and Dieter Quast, adjacent to the Maschsee. The museum opened in 1979 and the building was extended in 1992. Bernhard Sprengel donated his extensive collection of modern art to the city of Hanover in 1969, as well as financially supporting the construction of the museum.
Expo 2000
Expo 2000 was a World's Fair held in Hanover, Germany from Thursday, June 1 to Tuesday, October 31, 2000. It was located on the Hanover fairground (Messegelände Hannover), which is famous for hosting CeBIT. The fair was not a financial success. The fair's masterplan was designed in a joint venture with Studio d'Arnaboldi / Cavadini, Locarno and AS&P (Albert Speer und Partner GmbH).
Hannover Messe
The Hannover Messe is the world's biggest industrial fair. It is held on the Hanover fairground in Hanover, Germany. Typically, there are about 6,000 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors. The Hannover Messe started in 1947 in an undamaged factory building in Laatzen, south of Hanover, by an arrangement of the British military government in order to boost the economic advancement of post-war Germany.
Mannesmann Tower (Hannover)
The Mannesmann Tower is a tower on the Hanover fairground in Hanover, Germany. It is a free-standing lattice tower with a triangular cross-section, standing 120 metres high and carries the logo of the Hanover Fair, which erected the tower in 1954, at a height of 89.8 metres. The Mannesmann Tower hosts aerials for mobile phone services.
AWD-Arena
The AWD-Arena (stylized as AWDarena, known as Niedersachsenstadion until 2002) is a football stadium in the district Calenberger Neustadt in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and competition venue of the German Bundesliga football club Hannover 96. The original 86,000 capacity stadium was completed in 1954 and has since been rebuilt several times for various major football events. Today it has 49,000 covered seats. During the World Cup 2006 the stadium was named FIFA World Cup Stadium, Hanover.
TUI Arena
TUI Arena (formerly Preussag Arena) is an arena in Hanover, Germany. The arena opened in 2000 and holds 10,767, during hockey matches and up to 14,000, during concerts. The arena is situated at the Expo 2000 grounds, in the south of Hanover, astride the Kronsberg and Mittelfeld areas. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena of the Hannover Scorpions.

1st Panzer Division (Bundeswehr)
The 1st Panzer Division is an armoured division of the German Army. It also bears the designation Intervention Force Division (Division Eingreifkräfte). Its staff is based at Hanover. In the course of the current reorganisation of the Bundeswehr it will become the backbone of Germany's newly formed intervention forces which will have a manpower of 35,000 soldiers in total.
New Town Hall (Hanover)
The New Town Hall or New City Hall in Hanover, Germany, is a city hall and was opened on July 20, 1913, after having been under construction for 12 years. It is a magnificent, castle-like building of the era of Wilhelm II in eclectic style at the southern edge of the inner city (outside of the historic city center of Hanover). The building is embedded in the 10 hectare Maschpark.

The Heil- und Giftpflanzengarten der Tierärztlichen Hochschule Hannover (5000 m²) is a botanical garden specializing in medicinal and poisonous plants. It is maintained by the Tierärztlichen Hochschule Hannover, and located on campus at Bünteweg 17D, Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. The garden contains over 300 taxa of medicinal and poisonous plants, with nearly 100 information displays describing their appearance, preparation, and effects.

CeBIT is the world's largest and most international computer expo. The trade fair is held each year on the Hanover fairground, the world's largest fairground, in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and is considered a barometer of the state of the art in information technology. It is organized by Deutsche Messe AG.
Rudolf-Kalweit-Stadion
The Rudolf-Kalweit-Stadion is an association football and rugby union stadium in Hanover, Germany. Hannover Messe/Laatzen station

The station opened in 2000, replacing the old Messe station, which was located on a spur line in the fairgrounds.

Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover) (HMTMH) is an artistic-scientific university in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. It dates back to 1897. From 1962 until 2010 it was named Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover (State University of Music and Drama Hanover), short: Musikhochschule Hannover. Since 2010, the president has been Susanne Rode-Breymann.
