University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover
The University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover (German: Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, TiHo) is a university in Hanover and one of the five facilities for veterinary medicine in Germany, and the only one that remains independent. It is often referred to as TiHo by its staff and students. According to the website there are currently about 2,400 university students, 2,000 of which study veterinary medicine, and 50 study biology.

Sprengel Museum
The Sprengel Museum in Hanover houses one of the most significant collections of modern art in Germany. It is located in a building designed by Peter and Ursula Trint and Dieter Quast, adjacent to the Maschsee. The museum opened in 1979 and the building was extended in 1992. Bernhard Sprengel donated his extensive collection of modern art to the city of Hanover in 1969, as well as financially supporting the construction of the museum.

Staatsoper Hannover is an opera house and opera company in Hanover. It is one of the leading opera companies in Germany. During the course of its season from September to June, Staatsoper Hannover mounts productions of a variety of operas from the standard operatic repertoire as well as 20th century works. The home base of Staatsoper Hannover is the Hanover Opera House, a theater built in classical style between 1845 and 1852 based on a plan drawn by Laves.
AWD-Arena
The AWD-Arena (stylized as AWDarena, known as Niedersachsenstadion until 2002) is a football stadium in the district Calenberger Neustadt in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and competition venue of the German Bundesliga football club Hannover 96. The original 86,000 capacity stadium was completed in 1954 and has since been rebuilt several times for various major football events. Today it has 49,000 covered seats. During the World Cup 2006 the stadium was named FIFA World Cup Stadium, Hanover.
Leineschloss
The Leineschloss, situated on the Leine in Hanover, Germany, is the former residence of the Hanoverian kings and the current seat of the Landtag of Lower Saxony. The first building on the site was a Franciscan friary, constructed in about 1300, which was abandoned in 1533 after the Protestant Reformation. In 1636, George, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, began construction of the palace on the site as his residence. In 1742 the north-west wing was renewed.

Kröpcke
Kröpcke is the central place of the city of Hanover in Germany. The place is situated at the crossroads of Georgstraße, Karmarschstraße, Bahnhofstraße and Rathenaustraße. It is named after Wilhelm Kröpcke, one of the owners of the former Café Robby, which was erected on the then-nameless place in 1869. Kröpcke leased the café in 1876, changed the business's name to Café Kröpcke and operated the café until 1919.

Marktkirche, Hanover
The Marktkirche St. Georgii et Jacobi (Market Church of Sts. George and James), commonly known as Marktkirche ("The Church on the Marketplace"), is the main Lutheran church in Hanover, Germany. It was built in the 14th century and, together with the nearby Old Town Hall, is considered the southernmost example of the North German brick gothic (norddeutsche Backsteingotik) architectural style. The roof and the vaults of the naves were destroyed in an air raid in 1943 and restored in 1952.

1st Panzer Division (Bundeswehr)
The 1st Panzer Division is an armoured division of the German Army. It also bears the designation Intervention Force Division (Division Eingreifkräfte). Its staff is based at Hanover. In the course of the current reorganisation of the Bundeswehr it will become the backbone of Germany's newly formed intervention forces which will have a manpower of 35,000 soldiers in total.
New Town Hall (Hanover)
The New Town Hall or New City Hall in Hanover, Germany, is a city hall and was opened on July 20, 1913, after having been under construction for 12 years. It is a magnificent, castle-like building of the era of Wilhelm II in eclectic style at the southern edge of the inner city (outside of the historic city center of Hanover). The building is embedded in the 10 hectare Maschpark.

The Hanover Schützenfest at Hanover in Germany is the largest marksmen's funfair in the world. The origins of this funfair is located in the year 1529. It takes place once a year, is commercially organized and includes a big entertainment program. The Schützenfest consists of around 5,000 marksmen, 250 rides and inns, five large beer-tents and the "Marksmen's Parade".
