Herrenhausen
Herrenhausen is an area of the German city Hanover which is most notable for the baroque Herrenhausen Gardens. Ernest Augustus, Elector of Brunswick-Lüneburg died in Herrenhausen Castle and his grandson King George II of Great Britain was born there. During the Second World War the castle was completely destroyed in a British bombing on October 18, 1943.

The Georgengarten is a landscape garden in the northwestern borough of Herrenhausen of the German city Hanover. It is a part of Herrenhausen Gardens.
Gehry Tower
Gehry Tower is a nine-story building constructed by architect Frank Gehry; it is located at the Steintor, Goethestraße 13a, in Hanover, Germany. The building was commissioned by the city-owned Hanover Transport Services, for whom Gehry also designed a bus stop in the city. Constructed of stainless steel, the tower is memorable for the noticeable twist in its outer façade on a ferroconcrete core, making optimal use of the relatively small piece of ground on which it is located.
University of Hanover
The University of Hannover, officially the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, short Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH), is a public university located in Hannover, Germany. Founded in 1831, it is one of the largest and oldest science and technology universities in Germany. In the 2011/12 school year it enrolled 22,236 students, of which 3,138 were from foreign countries. It has nine faculties which offer 190 full and part degree programs in 38 fields of study.
AWD-Arena
The AWD-Arena (stylized as AWDarena, known as Niedersachsenstadion until 2002) is a football stadium in the district Calenberger Neustadt in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and competition venue of the German Bundesliga football club Hannover 96. The original 86,000 capacity stadium was completed in 1954 and has since been rebuilt several times for various major football events. Today it has 49,000 covered seats. During the World Cup 2006 the stadium was named FIFA World Cup Stadium, Hanover.
Herrenhausen Gardens
The Herrenhausen Gardens, located in Lower Saxony's capital of Hanover are made up of the Great Garden (Großer Garten), the Berggarten, the Georgengarten and the Welfengarten. The gardens are a heritage of the Kings of Hanover. The Great Garden has always been one of the most distinguished baroque formal gardens of Europe while the Berggarten has been transformed over the years from a simple vegetable garden into a large botanical garden with its own attractions.
Hanomag
Hanomag (Hannoversche Maschinenbau AG) was a German producer of steam locomotives, tractors, trucks and military vehicles in Hanover. Hanomag first achieved international fame by delivering a large number of steam locomotives to Finland, Romania and Bulgaria before World War I. In 1925 they added automobiles to their line, additionally moving in 1931 into the production of construction machinery. Since 1989, the company has been part of the Komatsu company.
Leineschloss
The Leineschloss, situated on the Leine in Hanover, Germany, is the former residence of the Hanoverian kings and the current seat of the Landtag of Lower Saxony. The first building on the site was a Franciscan friary, constructed in about 1300, which was abandoned in 1533 after the Protestant Reformation. In 1636, George, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, began construction of the palace on the site as his residence. In 1742 the north-west wing was renewed.

The Hanover Stadtbahn is a Stadtbahn system in the city of Hanover, Germany that opened in September 1975, gradually replacing the city's tramway network over the course of the following 25 years. As of 2007, it transports 125 million passengers per year. The system is run by Üstra, which was originally the abbreviation for Überlandwerke und Straßenbahnen Hannover AG.

Kestnergesellschaft
kestnergesellschaft (Kestner society) is an art gallery in Hanover, Germany, founded in 1916 to promote the arts. Its founders included the painter Wilhelm von Debschitz (1871–1948). The association blossomed under the management of Alexander Dorner and Justus Bier, pioneering modern art. After World War II, Alfred Hentzen took over the management in 1947, followed by Fritz Schmalenbach.
Ihme
The Ihme is a 16 km long river in Lower Saxony. It gives its name to the locality Ihme Roloven and is a left tributary of the Leine. Its source is in the village Evestorf. After about 6 kilometers, the Ihme reaches the city of Hanover, where it flows into the Leine. In order to protect the city center of Hanover from flooding, much of the water of the Leine is rerouted by a ditch into the Ihme. A bridge over the Ihme is named in memory of Benno Ohnesorg.
Ihme-Zentrum
The Ihme-Zentrum is a big residential, business and shopping center in Hanover between the Linden and Calenberger Neustadt quarters. It is located west at the bank of the Ihme river.
GISMA Business School
GISMA Business School in Hannover, Germany, was launched in 1999 as a joint initiative by the state of Lower Saxony and visionary private-sector enterprises. GISMA is a privately funded, self-administering institution of higher education. The School is closely affiliated with the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University (Indiana, USA) and the Leibniz University Hannover, Germany.
Hanover Schützenfest
The Hanover Schützenfest at Hanover in Germany is the largest marksmen's funfair in the world. The origins of this funfair is located in the year 1529. It takes place once a year, is commercially organized and includes a big entertainment program. The Schützenfest consists of around 5,000 marksmen, 250 rides and inns, five large beer-tents and the "Marksmen's Parade".
Wilhelm Busch Museum
The Wilhelm Busch Museum (German: Deutsches Museum für Karikatur und Zeichenkunst Wilhelm Busch, "German Museum of Caricature and Drawings Wilhelm Busch") is a museum in Hanover, Germany. It features the world's largest collection of works by Busch, as well as contemporary comic art, illustrations and drawings. It is located in the Georgengarten (part of the Herrenhausen Gardens) in a palace known as the Georgenpalais, dating from around 1780.

It is located at Vinnhorster Weg 2, Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and open weekdays. The garden was established in 1927 to provide practical botany experiences to students.

The German National Library of Science and Technology, abbreviated TIB, is the national library of the Federal Republic of Germany for all fields of engineering, technology, and the natural sciences. Hanover-Mitte
Mitte is the first district of Hanover. Neustädter Kirche, Hannover
The Neustädter Kirche (new town church) is a main Lutheran parish church in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. The official name is Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche St. Johannis zu Hannover (St. John's Church of the court and the city in the New Town at Hanover). The Baroque church was built in 1666–70. It is one of the oldest Protestant Saalkirche in Lower Saxony, conceived for the sermon as the main act of Lutheran church service.
