Plötzensee (lake)
Plötzensee is a small glacial lake in Berlin. It is situated near the Rehberge public park in the former borough of Wedding, now a part of Mitte. The name stems from Plötze, one name for the roach in German, as the lake formerly teemed with it. Plötzensee is part of a chain of lakes stretching from the northeast to the Spree valley, formed in the last ice age. Until 1443 the nunnery of St. Mary at Spandau had the rights to the lake, but these were eventually assumed by the Prussian treasury.

Kurt-Schumacher-Platz (Berlin U-Bahn)
Kurt-Schumacher-Platz is a station on the U6 line of the Berlin U-Bahn. There is a bus link outside the station connecting Berlin's Tegel International Airport to the U-Bahn network. The station was opened on May 3, 1956 and named after famous German politician Kurt Schumacher. The station was built by B. Grimmek, and has yellow tiles on the wall. The U6 extension between Seestrasse (Berlin U-Bahn) and Kurt-Schumacher-Platz was the first new subway line built after World War II in Berlin.
Wachbataillon
The Wachbataillon is the German Bundeswehr's elite drill unit. The Wachbataillon is the largest battalion of the German forces with about 1,800 soldiers, split in two garrisons in Berlin and Siegburg. It consists of nine companies (see list below) and belongs to the Streitkräftebasis (Joint Service Support Command) of the Bundeswehr. The soldiers of the Wachbataillon often refer to themselves as Protter or Protokollsoldaten, meaning protocol soldiers.
Otisstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)
Otisstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U6. The station is close to the street Otisstraße, hence the name. It was renamed in 2004 to celebrate the 150th year of operations of the local Otis Elevator Company and to correct a long-standing anomaly: this U6 line station was originally named Seidelstraße, even though its entrance was actually closer to Otisstraße. It was constructed in 1958 by the architect B. Grimmek.
Scharnweberstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)
Scharnweberstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U6. It was constructed by B. Grimmek in 1958. Due to the extension of the U6, the trains had to go above ground after Kurt-Schumacher-Platz station. Soil for the embankment on which the line is built came from excavations for the U9, which was being built in parallel. As the trains had to go above ground, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), who operate the Berlin U-Bahn, had to install windscreen wipers on the trains.

Afrikanische Straße is a station in the Wedding district of Berlin which serves the U6 line and is operated by the BVG. The station is named for one of the major streets which intersect nearby, but is actually located under the Müllerstraße, one of the district's major shopping streets and thoroughfares. It was opened on 3 May 1956, along with the rest of the route between Seestraße and Kurt-Schumacher-Platz.
Rehberge (Berlin U-Bahn)
Rehberge is a station in the Wedding district of Berlin which serves the U6 line and is operated by the BVG. The station is named for the large public park around 500 m away, a name which literally translates as 'Deer Mountains', and was opened on 3 May 1956 (designed by B. Grimmek), along with the rest of the route between Seestraße and Kurt-Schumacher-Platz. Rehberge station is located towards the northern end of the Müllerstraße, one of Wedding's principal shopping streets and thoroughfares.

Paracelsus-Bad is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U8. Designed by R.G. Rümmler and opened in 1987 it was named after the philosopher Paracelsus and the nearby bath. The walls are covered with white tiles and black borders. You can also find several pictures with mid age bathing scenes. The columns are also covered with black and white panels.
Lindauer Allee (Berlin U-Bahn)
Lindauer Allee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U8 in Berlin, Germany. In 1994 opened by R.G. Rümmler designed. The stations color in green with trees on the walls as a reference to Lindau (Linde=lime tree). Residenzstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)
Residenzstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U8. Opened in 1987 (Rümmler) this station should resemble a residence, the Berliner Stadtschloss. With ornaments on the floor, pompous columns, mirrors and golden capitals this was accomplished (and very expensive). The motifs on the walls show plans of Berlin, the old Stadtschloss and parts of Berlin.
Berlin Karl-Bonhoeffer-Nervenklinik station
Berlin Karl-Bonhoeffer-Nervenklinik is a railway station in the Wittenau district of Berlin, Germany. It is served by the Berlin S-Bahn, the U8 line of the Berlin U-Bahn and named after the adjacent psychiatric hospital. The psychiatrist Karl Bonhoeffer (1868–1948) was the father of the resistance fighters Klaus and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
