East Side Gallery
The East Side Gallery is an international memorial for freedom. It is a 1.3 km long section of the Berlin Wall located near the centre of Berlin on Mühlenstraße in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. The actual border at this point was the river Spree. The gallery is located on the so-called "hinterland mauer", which closed the border to East Berlin.

Berlin Warschauer Straße station is an S-Bahn and U-Bahn station located on Warschauer Straße in the Friedrichshain locality of central Berlin, Germany.
Oberbaum Bridge
The Oberbaum Bridge is a double-deck bridge crossing Berlin's River Spree, considered one of the city landmarks. It links Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, former boroughs that were divided by the Berlin Wall, and has become an important symbol of Berlin’s unity. The lower deck of the bridge carries a roadway, which connects Oberbaum Straße to the south of the river with Warschauer Straße to the north.
Weberwiese (Berlin U-Bahn)
Weberwiese is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U5 line, which currently runs from Alexanderplatz to Hönow. The station is located under Karl-Marx-Allee directly east of Straße der Pariser Kommune. Although the next station on the line is called Frankfurter Tor, the historical city gate Frankfurter Tor actually stood at the location of the Weberwiese station. Several of the stations on this line have been recently redeveloped and are now colour-coded.
Frankfurter Tor
The Frankfurter Tor (Frankfurt Gate) is a large square in the inner city Friedrichshain locality of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. It is situated in the centre of the district, at the intersection of Karl-Marx-Allee and Frankfurter Allee with the Warschauer Straße and Petersburger Straße ring road. The square was named after the 18th century city gate on the road to Frankfurt (Oder), which however was located ca. 850 m (2800 ft) westwards near Weberwiese station.
Samariterstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)
Samariterstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U5. As of 2011, construction of an elevator has commenced in order to make the station grade-free accessible. Built in 1930 by A. Grenander, it was tiled green and closed during a few months in 1945. During the GDR the station was covered with pictures of SED propaganda that was removed in 1990. From 1993 there were pictures from adolescents hanging on the walls, that were against violence.
Berghain
Berghain is a Berlin nightclub, named after its location near the border between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain. Philip Sherburne described it in 2007 as "quite possibly the current world capital of techno, much as E-Werk or Tresor were in their respective heydays."
Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle
Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle was an indoor sporting arena located in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin, Germany. It was named after the executed Berlin resistance fighter Werner Seelenbinder, a German wrestling champion at several European championships and 1936 Summer Olympics athlete. The arena opened in 1950 in what was then East Berlin, in a converted hall that formerly was part of the central cattle market and slaughterhouse complex.
Velodrom
The Velodrom is an indoor track cycling arena, in the Prenzlauer Berg, locality of Berlin, Germany. Holding up to 12,000 people, it was also Berlin's largest concert venue, until the opening of O2 World in 2008. It is part of a larger complex, which includes a swimming pool as well, built in the course of the - unsuccessful - application of Berlin, for the 2000 Summer Olympics. It replaced the former Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle, which was demolished in 1993.
Badeschiff
The Badeschiff (in English, "bathing ship") is a floating public swimming pool in Berlin, the capital city of Germany. Situated in the East Harbour section of the River Spree, the Badeschiff allows citizens to swim in a sanitary environment near the river. The Spree itself is far too polluted to permit safe bathing. The Badeschiff opened in the summer of 2004 as an art project organized by the Stadtkunstprojekte (City Art Project Society) of Berlin.

Berlin Ostkreuz (German for "East Cross") is a station on the Berlin S-Bahn suburban railway, and one of the busiest in Germany. The station is in the former East Berlin district of Friedrichshain, now part of the borough of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
Stralauer Tor (Berlin U-Bahn)
Stralauer Tor was a Berlin U-Bahn station in Berlin-Friedrichshain. As an elevated station built into the north-eastern part of the Oberbaumbrücke viaduct, it operated between Warschauer Straße and Schlesisches Tor stations on today's U1.
O2 World (Berlin)
O2 World (stylised as O2 World) is a multi-use indoor arena in the Friedrichshain neighborhood of Berlin, Germany, that opened in September 2008. Developed by Anschutz Entertainment Group, it was named O2 World, when O2 Germany purchased the naming rights. With a capacity of 17,000 people, it is home to the Eisbären Berlin ice hockey club and the ALBA Berlin basketball team, and is used for other ice hockey, basketball and handball matches as well as concerts.
Matrix (club)
Matrix is a club in Berlin which opened in 1996. Located at Warschauer Platz 18 in ten basement vaults of the Warschauer Straße railway station, the discothèque houses up to nine bars and five dance floors. The venue is with an overall size of 2.100 square meters one of the biggest clubs in Berlin.
Bersarinplatz
Bersarinplatz is a square in Friedrichshain, Berlin. On 4 April 1895 the square was named Baltenplatz, after the Balts. However, on 31 July 1947, after World War II, the square was renamed Bersarinplatz after Nikolai Berzarin, the Russian Red Army General and former Commander of Berlin.
Rigaer Straße
Rigaer Straße is a street in Friedrichshain, Berlin. The street, named after the Latvian capital Riga, runs from Bersarinplatz in the west to the railway station Frankfurter Allee in the east. Many of the houses stand under historic preservation, although, some of the older houses on the street have turned into squats. Famous residents of Rigaer Straße include German author Theodor Plievier, who, around 1924, lived at number 68.
Treptow Arena
The Treptow Arena (with a silent w) is an indoor hall, that hosts concerts, parties and special events, such as car presentations. It can hold up to 7,500. It is located in Berlin, Treptow next to the Spree.
Berlin Storkower Straße station
Storkower Straße is a railway station in the Prenzlauer Berg locality of Berlin, close to the locality's border with Fennpfuhl. Located at the Ringbahn it is served by the S-Bahn lines S41, S42, S8 and S9. The station was opened in 1881 under the name of Zentralviehhof, as the vast area south of the station then was the site of Berlin's central slaughterhouse that received animals by rail here. Frankfurter Tor (Berlin U-Bahn)
Frankfurter Tor is a station on U-Bahn line U5 in Berlin, the capital city of Germany. It is situated under Frankfurter Tor, a large square. Build by A. Grenander in 1930 it was first named Petersburger Strasse. After World War II it was named Bersarinstrasse (Nikolai Berzarin was the first Russian commander of Berlin). 1958 it was again renamed to Frankfurter Tor.
Straße der Pariser Kommune
The Straße der Pariser Kommune is a street in Berlin-Friedrichshain. It was known as Fruchtstraße until March 17, 1971, when it was renamed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Paris Commune. The road begins at the meeting point of Mühlenstrasse and Straulauer Platz, which run parallel to the River Spree, and continues north along the rails of the Ostbahnhof to the Karl-Marx-Allee. It becomes the Friedenstraße just beyond this, where it meets the Palisadenstraße and the Weidenweg.

Berlin Wriezener Bahnhof was a passenger railway terminus in Berlin, Germany. The station was situated close to the modern Ostbahnhof, and its goods station (Wriezener Güterbahnhof) was extended between it and Warschauer Straße station. From 1867 to 1882, nearby the Wriezener Bahnhof, it worked the Old Ostbahnhof.

The Computerspielemuseum Berlin (Computer Games Museum Berlin) was founded in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, it had a permanent exhibition in Berlin. Afterwards, it became an online only museum. In 2011, it reopened its permanent exhibition in Berlin's neighborhood of Friedrichshain. During the first month of its permanent exhibition, it had 12,000 visitors.
