Mainz Sand Dunes
The Mainz Sand Dunes are a small geological and botanical supra-region and important nature preserve in Mainz, Germany. Within this protected area rare plants and animals can be found. Some of the species represented here, such as the Purple Golden-drop, grow only here and in small numbers. The sand dunes developed after the last ice age and the first resettlement of grassland plants occurred approximately 12,000 years ago.

Nerobergbahn
The Nerobergbahn is a funicular railway in the city of Wiesbaden, Germany. The line links the city with the Neroberg hill to its north, where visitors may view a panorama of the city. The line opened in 1888, and is one of the few funiculars with water propulsion. At the upper station, tanks on the downbound car are filled with up to 7,000 litres of water to ensure that it is heavier than the upbound car. The downbound car can then pull the upbound car uphill with a 452 metres long steel cable.

Wiesbaden Central Station (Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof) is a railway station for the city of Wiesbaden, the state capital of the German state of Hesse. It is a terminal station at the southern edge of the city centre and is served by over 500 long-distance and regional trains and used by more than 30,000 travelers each day, so it is the second largest station in Hesse after Frankfurt Central Station. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 2 station.
Königssondergau
The Königssondergau (German for "King's Special District") was a Frankish gau (district) which existed in the area north of the confluence of the Rhine and Main rivers in Germany, from Frankish times until the end of the 12th century. Often mistakenly equated with the Rheingau, the Gau was based around the former Roman administrative district of Civitas Mattiacorum. The name Kunigessuntera is documented the first time in 819.

The Baseball- und Softball-Club Mainz Athletics 1988 e.V. is a German baseball and softball club located in the city of Mainz in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Athletics, along with Buchbinder Legionäre, is one of the largest clubs in the Baseball-Bundesliga Süd in terms of membership, claiming to have hundreds of active players. The club has played in the Baseball-Bundesliga for almost two decades, but only won its first and to date sole German Championship in the 2007 season.

The Landtag of Hesse is the Parliament of the State of Hesse in the Federal Republic of Germany. It convenes in the Stadtschloss, Wiesbaden. As a Legislature it is responsible for passing laws at the state level and enacting the budget. Its most important function is to elect and control the state government. The constitution of the State of Hesse describes the role of the Landtag in §§ 75 to 99. The Landtag consists of 118 members of five Parties.
Mainz-Amöneburg
Mainz-Amöneburg is a district administered by the city of Wiesbaden, Germany. Mainz-Amöneburg was formerly a district of the city of Mainz, until the public administration by the city of Wiesbaden was decided on August 10, 1945. The reason for this had been the easy control of the Allied Occupation Zones in Germany, where the Rhine formed the border between the American sector and the French sector. Mainz-Amöneburg faces the city of Mainz on the opposite shore of the Rhine river.
Schierstein Bridge
The Schierstein Bridge is 1,282-meter long, four-lane highway bridge in Germany. It carries Bundesautobahn 643 over the Rhine River between Mainz-Mombach, Rhineland-Palatinate and Wiesbaden-Schierstein, Hesse (Rhine kilometrage 504.45). Crossing two arms of the Rhine and the intervening island of Rettbergsaue, the bridge is made of six individual structures, including 100 m from prestressed concrete. It was built between 1959 to 1962.

Burg Frauenstein (Wiesbaden)
The Burg Frauenstein is a ruined castle in the town of Wiesbaden-Frauenstein in Hesse, Germany. It is not known who built Frauenstein Castle, but, based on dendrochronological evidence, its construction has been dated to around 1184. Built on a quartzite outcropping of the Spitzen Stein the castle was not intended as a defensive fortress, but rather as a watch-tower. It also served the tower guards as a dwelling.
Mainz-Mombach station
Mainz-Mombach station is one of two railway stations in the suburb of Mombach of the German town of Mainz. Due to its central location it is the primary station of the suburb besides the halt “Waggonfabrik”. The station is a part of the West Rhine Railway and borders the Wye: Gleisdreieck Mainz, leading to the Kaiserbrücke (Mainz) and the main station Mainz. It is served by RegionalBahn and Mittelrheinbahn electrified standard gauge trains.
St. Bonifatius, Wiesbaden
St. Bonifatius in Wiesbaden, Germany, is the central Catholic parish and church in the capital of Hesse. The present building was designed by architect Philipp Hoffmann in Gothic Revival style and built from 1844 to 1849. Twin steeples of 68 m dominate the Luisenplatz. The parish is part of the Diocese of Limburg.

Kirchgasse
The Kirchgasse is a shopping street in central Wiesbaden, Germany, and with roughly 11,000 people passing through every hour, it is one of the busiest shopping streets in Germany. The Kirchgasse is a designated pedestrian zone and spans about 500 meters from the Rheinstraße on the southern end to the Langgasse on the northern end. In 2007 a study has named the Kirchgasse the second most expensive street for retail property in Hesse, after the Zeil in Frankfurt am Main.
Lennebergwald
The Lennebergwald is a forest in the north of Rheinhessen in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. The approximately 700 ha sized stretches north-west of Mainz between the urban districts of Mombach, Gonsenheim, Finthen and the municipalities of Budenheim and Heidesheim am Rhein in the district of Mainz-Bingen. Most of the area belongs to Budenheim. Characteristical for the Lennebergwald is his dry and sandy soil, resulting in a high ground temperature during summer days.

It is funded by the State of Hesse and located in Wiesbaden. With collections currently comprising over one million books, it is one of Germany's largest research libraries. The major special collection is on the historical state of Nassau, in which the library has its roots.
