Goethe-Gymnasium is a secondary school in the city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany. It is situated near the Hauptbahnhof. It is currently the only state funded school in Germany that offers students the option of taking International Baccalaureate examination. However, contrary to the IBO's IB programme, the final exam is offered in year 13, not year 12. The Goethe-Gymnasium offers Japanese as a third foreign language, which is rare in Germany.

Palmengarten

The Palmengarten (22 hectares) is one of two botanical gardens in Frankfurt am Main and the largest garden of its kind in Germany. It is located in the Westend-Süd district. Like many public sites in Frankfurt, it was privately financed and implemented by the architect Heinrich Siesmayer. Work was completed in 1871 and opened to the public. One colorful visit was from the American entertainer Buffalo Bill who brought his Western show in 1890.

Alte Oper

The Alte Oper (Old Opera) is a concert hall and former opera house in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was inaugurated in 1880, bombed in 1944, and rebuilt slowly in the 1970s, reopening only in 1981. The city's opera company operates now at a nearby modern building while the Alte Oper serves as home to the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. Important works have been premiered at the Alte Oper, including Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in 1937.

Tower 185

Tower 185 is a 55-storey, 200 m skyscraper in the Gallus district of Frankfurt, Germany. It is the 4th tallest building in Frankfurt and the 4th tallest in Germany, tied with Main Tower. The anchor tenant of the tower is the German branch office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has leased 60,000 m . The tower was initially planned to be 185 m with 50 stories, however, when plans changed to increase the height by an additional five floors, its name was not changed.

Japan Center (Frankfurt)

Japan Center is a high-rise building in the Innenstadt district of Frankfurt, Germany. The 115 meter high office tower with 27 floors was completed in 1996. The building was designed by Berlin architect Joachim Ganz and cost approximately 200 million Euros. The strict geometric forms based on the measure of a Japanese tatami mat (0.9 m × 1.8 m) and terra cotta stone cladding correspond to classical Japanese design. Its wide roof reminisces the shape of a Japanese stone lantern.

Garden Tower

Garden Tower is a high-rise building in the Innenstadt district of Frankfurt, Germany. It was built between 1973 and 1976 as the headquarters of Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen and was one of the first high-rise buildings in Frankfurt's financial district, the Bankenviertel. The building, designed by architecture firm Novotny Mähner Assoziierte, was commonly referred to as Helaba-Hochhaus until Helaba moved to a new location, the 200-metres-high Main Tower, in 1999.

Eurotheum

The Eurotheum is a 31-storey, 110 m skyscraper in the city center of Frankfurt, Germany. The building was constructed in 1999 to coincide with the adjacent Main Tower, and is one of a few such in Frankfurt that offers office and residential space. Each floor of the tower has 17,000 m of office space, which is occupied mostly by the European Central Bank as an extension of their headquarters at Willy-Brandt-Platz. The 22nd floor has a public bar lounge.

Park Tower (Frankfurt)

Park Tower, formerly known as SGZ-Hochhaus, is a high-rise building in the Westend-Süd district of Frankfurt, Germany. It was built in 1972 as the administrative headquarters of the Südwestdeutschen Genossenschafts-Zentralbank. The then 96-metre high building with a black and silver facade was briefly the tallest skyscraper in Frankfurt. It is located in Reuterweg near the Opernplatz. Between July 2005 and autumn 2007, the building was gutted completely and radically restructured.
