Peace of Passau

Holy Roman Emperor Charles V had won a victory against Protestantism in the Schmalkaldic War of 1547. Many Protestant princes were unhappy with the religious terms of the Augsburg Interim imposed after this victory. Nidda (river)

The Nidda is a right tributary of the Main river in Hesse. It springs from the Vogelsberg on the Taufstein mountain range near the town of Schotten, flows through the Niddastausee dam, and the towns of Nidda, Niddatal, Karben, and Bad Vilbel. At Harheim it reaches the Frankfurt am Main city area and after 98 km enters the Main in Frankfurt's Höchst quarter. In the twenties and sixties the flow of the Nidda was regulated to reduce the risk of floods.

Au the name of a building that has been squatted since June 4, 1983 in Frankfurt, Germany. It bills itself as an "Autonomous Cultural Centre and Living Project". Au was home to the Au Squat Festival on June 3rd, 2006, featuring many punk rock bands such as The Restarts.
