Eurovision Song Contest 1957
The Eurovision Song Contest 1957 was the 2nd Eurovision Song Contest and was held on March 3, 1957 in Frankfurt-am-Main. Like the first contest, this one was still mainly a radio programme, but there was a noticeable increase in the number of people with televisions. It was won by the Netherlands with "Net als toen", performed by Corry Brokken.

The Confederation of the Rhine (German: Rheinbund; French: États confédérés du Rhin, officially "Confederated States of the Rhine", but in practice Confédération du Rhin) was a confederation of client states of the First French Empire. You FM (Germany)
You FM is one of the radio networks owned and operated by Hessischer Rundfunk, the public broadcaster for the German state of Hesse. Originally operating under the name hr XXL, the network featured the popular show XXL Clubnights which highlighted the night club scene in Hesse. In January 2004, the network was renamed You FM ("Young Fresh Music"), partially in an attempt to divest itself of its old "techno station" image.

The Lessing-Gymnasium is the oldest Gymnasium in Frankfurt am Main. It was founded in 1519 by the city council. The first foreign languages are Latin and English starting in 5th grade. In the 7th grade the pupils have to choose between French or Ancient Greek. The school also has got a variety of the fine arts: It has got several orchestras and choirs. Holy Cross Church, Frankfurt-Bornheim
The Holy Cross Church is a Roman Catholic church in the district Bornheim of Frankfurt am Main. It was built by Martin Weber from 1928 to 1929, on a rise then known as Bornheimer Hang. The church is an unusual example of interwar modernist as sacred architecture of Bauhaus architecture. The church was finally completed on 25 August 1929 and handed to the Catholic congregation of Bornheim. It was damaged in the Second World War, and afterwards rebuilt with money donated for the purpose.

Frankfurt American High School

Heiligenstock transmitter
Heiligenstock Transmitter, also known as the Heiligenstock Radio Tower, was a wooden German lattice transmitter that was used for mediumwave broadcasting. The tower was built in the year 1934 but was dismantled four years later because of its bad state. The tower was then rebuilt the same year it was dismantled in the city of Frankfurt. The newly rebuilt radio tower was then demolished in March 25th, 1945 during the second world war by the retreating German troops using explosives.
Holzhausenschlösschen
The Holzhausenschlösschen (Little Holzhausen palace) is a Baroque moated castle, built by the Frankfurt patrician family Holzhausen on their farm, then just north of Frankfurt, now in Frankfurt's Nordend. The present building was completed in 1729, built for Johann Hieronymus von Holzhausen on the foundations of a moated castle from the Middle Ages after a design by Louis Remy de la Fosse. It serves as a venue for cultural events.
