Peace of Passau
Holy Roman Emperor Charles V had won a victory against Protestantism in the Schmalkaldic War of 1547. Many Protestant princes were unhappy with the religious terms of the Augsburg Interim imposed after this victory. In January 1552, led by Maurice of Saxony, many formed an alliance with Henry II of France at the Treaty of Chambord. In return for French funding and assistance, Henry was promised lands in western Germany.
Weißkirchen radio transmitter
The transmitter Weißkirchen is a medium wave broadcasting facility located near Weißkirchen, Oberursel, Germany. It is the most powerful European AM transmitter of the American Forces Network and transmits on 873 kHz with a power of 150 kilowatts. It started operation in May 1951 on 872 kHz and moved its frequency to 873 kHz in 1978 according the regulations of Waveplan of Geneva. Its aerial consists of three guyed lattice steel masts built in 1954/55.
Palmengarten
The Palmengarten (22 hectares) is one of two botanical gardens in Frankfurt am Main and the largest garden of its kind in Germany. It is located in the Westend-Süd district. Like many public sites in Frankfurt, it was privately financed and implemented by the architect Heinrich Siesmayer. Work was completed in 1871 and opened to the public. One colorful visit was from the American entertainer Buffalo Bill who brought his Western show in 1890.
Naturmuseum Senckenberg
The Naturmuseum Senckenberg in Frankfurt am Main is the second largest museum of natural history in Germany. It is particularly popular with children, who enjoy the extensive collection of dinosaur skeletons: Senckenberg boasts the largest exhibition of large dinosaurs in Europe. One particular treasure is a dinosaur fossil with unique, preserved scaled skin. The museum contains the world's largest and most diverse collection of stuffed birds with about 2000 specimens.
Grüneburgpark
The Grüneburgpark is a park in the Westend district of Frankfurt, whose name derives from the "Green castle", which stood on the site in the 14th century. In 1789 the banker Peter Heinrich von Bethmann Metzler acquired the property and designed the park. In the following years the great thinkers of the day met here, among them Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Bettina von Arnim.

Au (building)
Au the name of a building that has been squatted since June 4, 1983 in Frankfurt, Germany. It bills itself as an "Autonomous Cultural Centre and Living Project". Au was home to the Au Squat Festival on June 3rd, 2006, featuring many punk rock bands such as The Restarts. The 2007 festival was on June 9th with band like Sensa Yuma and the festival 2008 will be on June 7th. Beside the open air festival there are many other concerts and cultural or political events during the year.

The Frauenfriedenskirche (German for Our Lady's Peace Church) is a Roman Catholic church in Bockenheim (Frankfurt am Main). It was built by Hans Herkommer from 1927 to 1929, on a rise then known as Ginnheimer Höhe. The church is an unusual example of interwar modernist church architecture, combining elements of expressionism with the "New Objectivity" of Bauhaus architecture, and using monumental mosaics for external and internal decoration.

IBC Tower
IBC Tower is a skyscraper in the IBC building complex in Bockenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany. At 30-storeys and 112 m, it is considerably the taller than the other two buildings named IBC Tower A, and IBC Tower B, which are both ten storeys. The IBC was built by Deutsche Bank on a design by architect Kohler and was completed in 2003. It is situated at Theodor-Heuss-Allee close to the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds.

Nida (Roman town)
Nida was an ancient Roman town in the northwestern suburbs of today's Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was at the time of the Roman empire capital of the Civitas Taunensium. The Roman town was on the edge of the Wetterau region in the northwest of the present city of Frankfurt am Main, in the district of Frankfurt-Heddernheim. The first traces of a temporary Roman settlement date to the reign of Emperor Vespasian in the years 69 to 79.
