Hochtaunuskreis
The Hochtaunuskreis is a Kreis in the middle of Hesse, Germany and is part of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region. Neighbouring districts are Lahn-Dill, Wetteraukreis, district-free Frankfurt, Main-Taunus, Rheingau-Taunus, Limburg-Weilburg. The Hochtaunuskreis and the Landkreis Starnberg regularly compete for the title of the wealthiest district in Germany.

Saalburg
The Saalburg is a Roman fort located on the Taunus ridge northwest of Bad Homburg, Hesse, Germany. It is a Cohort Fort belonging to the Limes Germanicus, the Roman linear border fortification of the German provinces. The Saalburg, located just off the main road roughly halfway between Bad Homburg and Wehrheim is the most completely reconstructed Roman fort in Germany. Since 2005, as part of the Upper German limes, it forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Frankfurt International School (FIS) is an English-language day school located in Oberursel, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Founded in 1961, it is the largest and second oldest international school in Germany and provides instruction to almost 1800 students from over fifty countries from age three to grade twelve. FIS consists of the Primary School (First Steps to grade one), Elementary School (grades two to five), and Upper School (grades six to twelve).
Camp King
Camp King is a site on the outskirts of Oberursel, Taunus, with a long history. It began as a school for agriculture under the auspices of the University of Frankfurt. During World War II, the lower fields became an interrogation center for the German Air Force. After World War II, the United States Army also used it as an interrogation center and intelligence post. In 1968, it became the command and control center for the United States Army Movements Control Agency - Europe.
Hessenpark
The Hessenpark is an open air museum in Neu-Anspach, Hesse, Germany. It was founded in 1974 by the Hesse State Government headed by Albert Osswald. The museum showcases half-timbered buildings from the land of Hesse. As of 2006, there were almost 100 houses on display. The Hessenpark is a popular family destination.
Church of the Redeemer, Bad Homburg
The Church of the Redeemer (from the German Erlöserkirche) is an Evangelical (Protestant) church in Bad Homburg, Germany. Finished in 1908, the building is outwardly of a heavy, romanesque revival appearance, while its interior is held in a neo-Byzantine style, with rich marble wall decorations and gold mosaics covering the domed ceiling, leading to the church sometimes being called 'Bad Homburg's Hagia Sophia'.
Schlosshotel Kronberg
Schlosshotel Kronberg (previously Schloss Friedrichshof) in Kronberg im Taunus was built between 1889 and 1893 for the dowager German Empress Victoria, Princess Royal and named in honour of her husband, Frederick III, German Emperor.
Humboldtschule, Bad Homburg
The Humboldtschule is one of two Gymnasiums, besides the Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium (KFG), in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Hesse, Germany. The eponyms are Alexander (1769–1859) and Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767–1835). Since November 2000 the school is a recognized UNESCO project school (UNESCO-Projektschule). In the school year 2008/2009, the school had 134 teachers and 1,602 students. Starting with school year 2009/2010 the school has 1,750 students. The history of the school goes back to 1900.

The Gesamtschule am Gluckenstein is a Gesamtschule in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Hesse, Germany. The school has approximate 70 teachers and more than 800 students. In school year 2006/2007 the school time at the Gymnasium at the Gesamtschule am Gluckenstein was reduced from nine to eight years. So the students get their Abitur after twelve school years totally, not thirteen years more. But in school year 2008/2009 the school has decided to reintroduce the thirteen school years at the Gymnasium.
Kempinski Hotel Falkenstein
Kempinski Hotel Falkenstein is a luxurious hotel in Königstein im Taunus (Falkenstein im Taunus), Germany. It was owned by Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1909 as a sanatorium for officers. Since 1999 it has belonged to the chain Kempinski. The building was opened in 1875. It was a sanatorium from 1875 to 1976 and also served as a hospital, military sanatorium and hospital for invalids before being closed in 1991. On 9 September 1999 it re-opened as a Kempinski hotel with 106 rooms.
Altkönig
Altkönig the third tallest mountain of the Taunus range in Hesse, Germany, reaching 798 meters above sea level. In the La Tène period around 400 BC, the Celts settled the Altkönig. They built a ringwall around the summit which is still evident. It is unknown when and why they abandoned the Altkönig.

Heidetrank Oppidum

The oppidum was surrounded by ringwalls which encircled the settlement of opposite sides of a ravine called the Heidetrankthal. They high point of the settlement was in the late La Tène period, but lost its importance in the mid first century BC.
