Goethe University Frankfurt
The Goethe University Frankfurt is a university which was founded in 1914 as a Citizens' University, which means that, while it was a State university of Prussia, it had been founded and financed by the wealthy and active liberal citizenry of Frankfurt am Main, a unique feature in German university history. It was named in 1932 after one of the most famous natives of Frankfurt, the poet and writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Today, the university has 38,000 students, on 4 major campuses.
Peace of Passau
Holy Roman Emperor Charles V had won a victory against Protestantism in the Schmalkaldic War of 1547. Many Protestant princes were unhappy with the religious terms of the Augsburg Interim imposed after this victory. In January 1552, led by Maurice of Saxony, many formed an alliance with Henry II of France at the Treaty of Chambord. In return for French funding and assistance, Henry was promised lands in western Germany.
Goethe-Gymnasium, Frankfurt
Goethe-Gymnasium is a secondary school in the city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany. It is situated near the Hauptbahnhof. It is currently the only state funded school in Germany that offers students the option of taking International Baccalaureate examination. However, contrary to the IBO's IB programme, the final exam is offered in year 13, not year 12. The Goethe-Gymnasium offers Japanese as a third foreign language, which is rare in Germany.

Messe Torhaus
Messe Torhaus is a high rise building in the Bockenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany. It was designed by Oswald Mathias Ungers. Built by Hochtief, 400 workers constructed the 60,000 ton building in a record time of 13 months from 1983 to 1984. Its unusual shape and use of materials resembles a guillotine. The building houses the administration of Messe Frankfurt as well as services like a kindergarten and the press centre.

Tower 185
Tower 185 is a 55-storey, 200 m skyscraper in the Gallus district of Frankfurt, Germany. It is the 4th tallest building in Frankfurt and the 4th tallest in Germany, tied with Main Tower. The anchor tenant of the tower is the German branch office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has leased 60,000 m . The tower was initially planned to be 185 m with 50 stories, however, when plans changed to increase the height by an additional five floors, its name was not changed.

AfE Turm (English: AfE Tower) is a 32-storey, 116 m skyscraper in the Bockenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany. The building belongs to the Bockenheim campus of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University and houses the offices and seminar rooms of the departments of Social Sciences and Education. AfE is an acronym for Abteilung für Erziehungswissenschaft (English: Department of Pedagogy); however, this department never moved into the tower because it was closed before the construction was finished.

The unequal twin towers were named after the Dioscuri in Greek mythology, Castor and Pollux. The towers are located at Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage next to the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds, between the Messeturm and the Tower 185. The towers were constructed between 1994 and 1997. Before that the site had been the headquarters of Deutsche Bahn.
IBC Tower
IBC Tower is a skyscraper in the IBC building complex in Bockenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany. At 30-storeys and 112 m, it is considerably the taller than the other two buildings named IBC Tower A, and IBC Tower B, which are both ten storeys. The IBC was built by Deutsche Bank on a design by architect Kohler and was completed in 2003. It is situated at Theodor-Heuss-Allee close to the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds.

The station was opened in 1999 to improve the fair’s public transport connections. It consists of two platform tracks facing a central platform. Constructing the platform was a complex procedure as the space between the tracks had to be enlarged.

Development work began in 2005, and the development is slated for completion by 2019. The area will have offices, hotels, apartments, parks, shopping, and leisure facilities. After its completion, Europaviertel will approximately have a population of 30,000 workers and 10,000 residents.
