Erfurt massacre
The Erfurt massacre was a school massacre that occurred on April 26, 2002 at the Gutenberg-Gymnasium in Erfurt, Germany. The gunman, 19-year-old expelled student Robert Steinhäuser, shot and killed 16 people; comprising 13 faculty members, 2 students, and one police officer, before committing suicide. One person was also wounded by a bullet fragment.

Gera (river)
The Gera is a river in Thuringia, Germany, a right tributary of the Unstrut. It originates in the Thuringian Forest, west of Ilmenau. The Gera is formed in Plaue, by the confluence of the Wilde Gera and the Zahme Gera. It empties into the Unstrut in Straußfurt. The total length of the Gera (including Wilde Gera) is 85 km. The largest towns along the Gera are Arnstadt and Erfurt. The city Gera is not situated along the river Gera. Along its way, Gera River splits up and reunites multiple times.

Steigerwaldstadion
Steigerwaldstadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Erfurt, Germany. The stadium is able to hold 19,439 people and was built in 1931. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. From 1948 to 1991 (the time of the German Democratic Republic), Steigerwaldstadion was known as the Georgij-Dimitroff-Stadion, after Bulgarian communist leader Georgi Dimitrov (1882–1949).

Naturkundemuseum Erfurt
The Naturkundemuseum Erfurt is a natural history museum in Erfurt, Germany. The museum has a permanent exhibition relating the natural history of the forests, fields, city and the geological history of Thuringia. There is also a special exhibitions programme. The museum has collections of botany, zoology, mineralogy — 6,500 specimens presented by Godehard Schwethelm (1899–1992) — and palaeontology.

Priory of St Wigbert (Priorat Sankt Wigberti) is an ecumenical Benedictine monastery for men, belonging to the Lutheran Church of Thuringia. It is located in Werningshausen near Erfurt in Germany. This community includes Congregatio Canonicorum Sancti Augustini The monastery is named after St Wigbert. Brethren in the priory are Lutheran, Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox, following the Rule of St Benedict. The prior is Lutheran pastor Franz Schwarz.
Landtag of Thuringia
The Landtag of Thuringia is the state diet of the German federal state of Thuringia. It convenes in Erfurt and currently consists of 88 members of three Parties. Predigerkirche (Erfurt)
Predigerkirche ("Preacher's Church") is a Protestant church in Erfurt, Germany. It is a monastic church to the Dominican friary, Predigerkloster, adjacent to the church. Predigerkirche was originally built by the Dominican Order in the 13th century, when the mystic Meister Eckhart was prior here. The church only became a Protestant church after the Reformation. The original building was modified in 1340–50, and the bell tower was built between 1447 and 1488.

Maschinenfabrik Christian Hagans (Christian Hagans Engineering Works) was a German locomotive manufacturer founded on 1 July 1857 in Erfurt, Germany, by Christian Hagans. By the mid-1860s, the company had started building locomotive boilers and other components; in 1872 the first locomotive followed, a narrow gauge engine for a rail gauge of 750 mm. As a result of shortages of space, Hagans often had to limit its operations.
