Sachsenhausen concentration camp
Sachsenhausen or Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg was a Nazi concentration camp in Oranienburg, Germany, used primarily for political prisoners from 1936 to the end of the Third Reich in May 1945. After World War II, when Oranienburg was in the Soviet Occupation Zone, the structure was used as an NKVD special camp until 1950. The remaining buildings and grounds are now open to the public as a museum.
Richtfunkstelle Berlin-Frohnau
The Richtfunkstelle Berlin-Frohnau (Directional radio station Berlin-Frohnau) was a facility for directional radio services in Frohnau (a locality in the Reinickendorf borough of Berlin). Before the German reunification, the facility served as a directional radio link between West Berlin and West Germany. It first used only an overhorizon directional link. For this link between 1970 and 1973 a 117.5 m high freestanding steelframe work tower was built.
Sachsenhausen (Oranienburg)
Sachsenhausen is a district of the town Oranienburg, 35 kilometres north of Berlin. The district's name means 'Houses of the Saxons'. It was notorious as the site of the Nazi concentration camp also called Sachsenhausen which ran from 1936 to 1945. For five years after World War II the Soviets used the facility as Special Camp No. 7 (later Soviet Special Camp No. 1).

Steinstücken
Steinstücken, a small settlement with approximately 200 inhabitants, is the southernmost territory of the Berlin borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, belonging to Wannsee. From the division of Germany in 1949 until a connecting corridor was created in 1971–72, Steinstücken was the only permanently inhabited one of originally twelve exclaves of West Berlin, while West Berlin itself was an enclave occupied by the Western Allies, surrounded either by East Berlin or East German (GDR) territory.

Oranienburg concentration camp
Oranienburg concentration camp was an early concentration camp, one of the first detention facilities established by the Nazis when they gained power in 1933. It held the Nazis' political opponents from the Berlin region, mostly members of the Communist Party of Germany and social-democrats, as well as a number of homosexual men. It was established in the center of the town of Oranienburg when the SA took over a disused factory (possibly a brewery).
NKVD special camp Nr. 7
NKVD special camp Nr. 7 was a NKVD special camp that operated in Weesow until August 1945 and in Sachsenhausen from August 1945 until the spring of 1950. It was used by the Stalinist Soviet occupying forces to detain political prisoners. In August 1945, the Special Camp Nr. 7 was moved to Sachsenhausen, the area of the former Nazi Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

Marienetta Jirkowsky
Marienetta "Micky" Jirkowsky was a German woman killed trying to cross the Berlin Wall. At 3.40am on November 22, 1980, Marienetta Jirkowsky and two friends attempted to cross the border between East and West Berlin. They were discovered by East German border guards and Jirkowsky was hit by 27 bullets, mainly in her stomach. She died the same day at 11.40 in Hennigsdorf hospital; she was 18 years old.

LEW Hennigsdorf
