Regen (river)
The Regen is a river in Bavaria, Germany, and a left tributary of the Danube, at Regensburg, Germany. The source of its main headstream, the Großer Regen ("Big Regen"), is located in the Bohemian Forest on the territory of the Czech Republic, near Železná Ruda. The river crosses the border after a few kilometres, at Bayerisch Eisenstein. The name in German evolved from the name in Latin, whose meaning is unknown.

Regensburg is an administrative district in Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Schwandorf, Cham, Straubing-Bogen, Kelheim and Neumarkt. The city of Regensburg is enclosed by, but does not belong to the district; it is nonetheless its administrative seat.
Walhalla memorial
The Walhalla is a hall of fame that honors laudable and distinguished people, famous personalities in German history — politicians, sovereigns, scientists and artists of the German tongue". The hall is housed in a neo-classical building above the Danube River, east of Regensburg, in Bavaria, Germany. The Walhalla is named for Valhalla of Norse mythology. It was conceived in 1807 by Crown Prince Ludwig, who built it upon ascending the throne of Bavaria as King Ludwig I.
University of Regensburg

The Scots Monastery is a Benedictine abbey of St James (Jakobskirche) in Regensburg, Germany. It was founded by Hiberno-Scottish missionaries and for most of its history was in the hands of first Irish, then Scottish monks, whence its name (in German Schottenkirche, Schottenkloster or Schottenstift. In Middle Latin, Scotti meant Gaels from Scotland or Ireland, so that the term Schottenstift already dates from the Irish period.

Herzogspark
Herzogspark (1.5 hectares) is a municipal park, with small botanical garden, located on the banks of the Danube at the western edge of the old city, at Hundsumkehr Strasse, Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany. The park dates to 1293, when a new wall was constructed after enlargement of the city. Its moat now forms part of the landscape.

The 900-year-old building is notable for its role in catering for the workers who built the Stone Bridge, which the kitchen is next to. The kitchen still operates today, and serves 6,000 sausages to guests daily. Sausages are the only item on the menu and come in portions of six, eight or ten, along with sauerkraut and mustard.
Nibelungen Bridge (Regensburg)
The Nibelungen Bridge is a dual road bridge with two sections spanning both arms of the Danube at kilometre mark 2378.39 in Regensburg, Germany. The current bridge, the third on the site, was erected in 2001–04 to replace a bridge erected in 1950 which was no longer adequate for traffic demands, and which had replaced a bridge built in 1938 and destroyed in World War II. Carrying an average of 42,000 vehicles a day, it is one of the most important bridges in the Regensburg area.

The 4th Panzergrenadier Division (4. Panzergrenadierdivision) was a West German mechanized infantry formation. II Corps was part of NATO's Central Army Group (CENTAG), along with the Bundeswehr's III Corps and the American V and VII Corps.

The Regensburg Museum of Danube Shipping (Donau-Schiffahrts-Museum Regensburg) is a maritime museum of river shipping on the river Danube and other rivers, sited in the town of Regensburg in Germany.
