Franconia
The term of Franconia is today commonly used to refer to the eastern part of the historic Duchy of Franconia in Germany. The region is nowadays mainly represented by the administrative districts of Lower Franconia (Unterfranken, capital city Würzburg), Middle Franconia (Mittelfranken, capital city Ansbach), and Upper Franconia (Oberfranken, capital city Bayreuth) in Bavaria.

Regnitz
The Regnitz is a river in Bavaria, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Main and is 58 km in length. The river is formed by the confluence of the rivers Rednitz and Pegnitz, which meet in the city of Fürth. From there the Regnitz runs northwards through the cities of Erlangen and Forchheim. Bamberg Symphony
The Bamberg Symphony is a German orchestra based in Bamberg and well known for its artistic excellence and frequent international touring. The orchestra was formed in 1946 mainly from German musicians expelled from Czechoslovakia under the Beneš decrees, who had previously been members of the German Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague. The orchestra received the title of Bayerische Staatsphilharmonie (Bavarian State Philharmonic) in 1993.

The Bamberg Cathedral (German: Bamberger Dom, official name Bamberger Dom St. Peter und St. Georg) is a church in Bamberg, Germany, completed in the 13th century. The cathedral is under the administration of the Roman Catholic Church and is the seat of the Archbishop of Bamberg. The cathedral is a late Romanesque building with four imposing towers. It was founded in 1002 by the emperor Henry II, finished in 1012 and consecrated on May 6, 1012. It was later partially destroyed by fire in 1081.

Stechert Arena is an indoor sporting arena located in Bamberg, Germany. The capacity of the arena is 6,800 people. It is currently home to the Brose Baskets basketball team. The arena originally had a capacity of 4,750 people but was extended with a north stand and reopened in October 2006. The new capacity of the arena is 6,800 (basketball) and more than 9,000 people (concerts). The owner of the arena is "Sabine Guenther". The old name was Forum.
Schloss Weißenstein
Schloss Weißenstein is a palatial residence in Pommersfelden, Bavaria, southern Germany. It was designed for Lothar Franz von Schönborn, Prince-Bishop of Bamberg and Archbishop of Mainz, to designs by Johann Dientzenhofer and Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt. The Marstall (luxury stable) had been designed by Maximilian von Welsch. Weißenstein, built as a summer residence, remains in the Schönborn family. The castle was built between 1711 and 1718 from local sandstone materials.

Itz
The Itz is a river in Germany and a 80-kilometre right tributary of the Main. The Itz begins in Sachsenbrunn (Stelzen), Thuringia and flows southward through Bachfeld and Schalkau. It crosses into Bavaria and feeds the Froschgrundsee reservoir. It continues through Dörfles-Esbach, Coburg, and Großheirath, then is joined by the Rodach north of Itzgrund. It continues southward to Rattelsdorf and Baunach, where it joins the Main. The Itz flooded Coburg in early 2003.

Villa Dessauer
The Villa Dessauer is a mansion in Bamberg, Germany, which is used as an art gallery by the local City Council. The edifice was built in 1884 by the Jewish merchant Carl Dessauer. Typical of that time, the villa was aimed to be a mirror of the owner’s position in the society. During the Nazi regime, the villa was confiscated, but after World War II the son of the former owner received his property back and sold it to the City of Bamberg.

Bamberg station is the only passenger station of the city of Bamberg in Upper Franconia in the German state of Bavaria. It is a major hub station for local trains operated by Deutsche Bahn and Agilis and is also a regularly served by Intercity-Express trains. The station is on the Nuremberg–Bamberg, Bamberg–Hof and Würzburg–Bamberg lines. It has seven platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 2 station.
