Ester Mountains
The Ester Mountains are a small mountain range in Bavaria. They are classified either as part of Bavarian Prealps or the larger chain of Northern Limestone Alps. The range stretches for about 15 kilometres. From the west it is bordered by the valley of the river Loisach and from the east by Walchensee lake and the valley of the river Isar. With its highest peak being Krottenkopf (2086 m), the highest part of the range just exceeds 2,000 m. The range is of composed of limestone.
Schloss Elmau
Schloss Elmau is a luxury hotel at the foot of the Wetterstein mountains, in a nature reserve near the village of Klais lying between Garmisch and Mittenwald in Bavaria. Schloss Elmau was built in 1916 by Johannes Müller with the assistance of Elsa Gräfin Waldersee and the architect Carlo Sattler. It was originally intended to be an artistic community where 'Helpers' (not employees) cared for visiting guests and artists.

Gudiberg
Gudiberg is a mountain of Bavaria, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. It hosted the slalom part of the alpine skiing combined event for the 1936 Winter Olympics in neighboring Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The slalom piste at Gudiberg was improved in preparation for the World Championships in 2011, and has hosted World Cup slalom events. The adjacent ski jumping hill Große Olympiaschanze is a regular stop on the World Cup tour, part of the Four Hills Tournament.
Partnach Gorge
The Partnach Gorge is a deep gorge that has been incised by a mountain stream, the Partnach, in the Reintal valley near the south German town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The gorge is 702 metres long and, in places, over 80 metres deep. It was designated a natural monument in 1912.
