Munich massacre
The Munich massacre was an attack during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany on 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team, who were taken hostage and eventually killed, along with a German police officer, by the Palestinian group Black September. Shortly after the crisis began, they demanded the release of 234 prisoners held in Israeli jails, and the release of the founders of the German Red Army Faction, who were held in German prisons.
Olympic Stadium (Munich)
Olympiastadion is a stadium located in Munich, Germany. Situated at the heart of the Olympiapark München in northern Munich, the stadium was built as the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics. With an original capacity of 80,000, the stadium also hosted many major football matches including the 1974 World Cup Final and the Euro '88 Final. It hosted the European Cup Finals of 1979, 1993 and 1997.
Olympiahalle
Olympiahalle is a multi-purpose arena in Munich, Germany, part of the Olympic Park and close to the Olympic Stadium. The arena is used for concerts, sporting events, exhibitions or trade fairs. In the past, it served as a part-time home for the defunct ice hockey team EC Hedos München. Olympiahalle opened in 1972 and was the venue for gymnastics and handball events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. The seating capacity for the arena varies from 12,150 up to 14,000.

The Olympiapark in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Found in the area of Munich known as the "Oberwiesenfeld" ("upper meadow-field"), the Park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social, and religious events such as events of worship. The Park is administered by Olympiapark München GmbH, a holding company fully owned by the state capital of Munich.
Olympic Village, Munich
The Olympic Village was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany and was used to house the athletes during the games. This was also where the Munich massacre took place. Part of the village is now used as student housing . The student housing area is approved to be demolished. On the night of the 4th of August 2007, a student party turned into a small riot, leading to heavy vandalism and the destruction of two houses by a set fire.
Olympia Schwimmhalle
The Olympia Schwimmhalle is an aquatics centre located in the Olympiapark in Munich, Germany. It hosted the swimming, diving, water polo, and the swimming part of the modern pentathlon events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. At the 1972 Olympics, the stadium had a 9000-seat capacity which was reduced to 1,500 soon after. During the 1972 Olympics, the Olympic Records in all 29 Olympic swimming events were broken as well as the World Records in 20 events.

München Olympiastadion station

The station was built in the early 1970s and opened on May 26, 1972 to provide additional means of transportation for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Today, it has fallen into disuse and the tracks leading to the station have been removed. The station saw use during the 1972 Olympics, but was disconnected from the regular service network after the Olympic games ended.

BMW Museum
The BMW Museum is located near the Olympiapark in Munich and was established in 1972 shortly before the Summer Olympics opened. It deals with the history of the automobile manufacturer BMW. In connection with the construction of the BMW Welt, directly opposite the museum, it was renovated from 2004 to 2008. The museum reopened on June 21, 2008.
