The Siegestor in Munich, is a three-arched triumphal arch crowned with a statue of Bavaria with a lion-quadriga, similar in style to the Arch of Constantine in Rome, the Marble Arch in London, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. It is located between the Ludwig Maximilian University and the Ohmstraße, where the Ludwigstraße (south) ends and the Leopoldstraße (north) begins. Underground, the station consists of two island platforms, each servicing two tracks. On the surface, a bus and tram terminal is located on the corner of Leopoldstraße and Feilitschstraße.

The Münchner Freiheit (called Münchener Freiheit until 1998) is a square in Munich's Schwabing, near the English Garden. It is a popular tourist attraction, especially during winter when one of Munich's largest Christmas markets takes place. A station for the Munich U-Bahn is located at the square and named after it. A German pop group, Münchener Freiheit, derived their name from the location, and have retained the original spelling.
