Bavarian Soviet Republic
The Bavarian Soviet Republic, also known as the Munich Soviet Republic (German: Bayerische Räterepublik or Münchner Räterepublik) was, as part of the German Revolution of 1918–1919, the short-lived attempt to establish a socialist state in the form of a democratic workers' council republic in the Free State of Bavaria. It sought independence from the also recently proclaimed Weimar Republic. Its capital was Munich.
Karlsplatz (Stachus)
Stachus is a large square in central Munich, southern Germany. The square has been named officially Karlsplatz in 1797 after the unpopular Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria. Munich natives seldom use that name, calling the square instead Stachus, after the pub Beim Stachus, once owned by Eustachius Föderl, that was located there until construction work for Karlsplatz began.

It is one of the three long distance train stations in Munich, the others being München-Pasing and München Ost. The station sees about 350,000 passengers a day, which puts it on par with other large stations in Germany, such as Hamburg and Frankfurt. The mainline station is a terminal station, the subterranean S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations are through stations.

München Karlsplatz (Stachus) is an underground S-Bahn and U-Bahn station below the Karlsplatz in central Munich. It is one of the busiest stations in Munich, as it is located at the western end of Munich's Altstadt (Old Town). Karlsplatz is also a stop on the Munich tramway, located on the Altstadtring, the Old Town's periphery road. Goetheplatz (Munich U-Bahn)
Goetheplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U3 and U6. The stations decor is similar to that of the U3/U6 platform at Sendlinger Tor, but its history is much older than that. Originally it was constructed between 1938-1941 as part of a planned North-South S-Bahn network in Munich, which was abandoned due to the war effort. For this reason, the platform is 135 meters long, significantly longer than that of any other U-Bahn station (usually about 120 meters).

The Sendlinger Tor is a city gate at the southern extremity of the historic old town area of Munich. It served as a fortification for the defence and is one of Munich's three remaining gothic town gates.

Herzogspitalkirche (Munich)
Herzogspitalkirche is a Catholic church in Munich, southern Germany. It was a Baroque building commissioned by Duke Albert V of Bavaria, designed by Johann Gunetzrhainer and inaugurated in 1727. Damaged during World War II, the Duke Hospital was demolished and replaced by a new building. The tower was restored, the nave replaced by a new building designed by Alexander Freiherr von Branca (1956–57), with a brickwork interior.
Kreuzkirche (Munich)
The Church of All Saints also known as Holy Cross Church, is a cemetery church in Munich, southern Germany. The church was built in 1478 by Jörg von Halsbach and was the first church with a cemetery in the St. Peter parish. It was once located at the crossing of four roads, whence the original suffix am Kreuz ("at the Cross"). It has unadorned brickwork walls, Gothicvaults and a tall bell tower.
St. Stephan's Church (Munich)
St. Stephan is a former cemetery church of the old South Cemetery in Munich, southern Germany. The church is located at the northern end of the Southern Cemetery, directly to Stephan Street, near the Sendlinger Tor Place. It is the chapel of the parish church of St. Peter. St. Stephan is an early Baroque building, oriented eastwards, and constructed from 1674 to 1677 by George Zwerger.
