Glyptothek
The Glyptothek is a museum in Munich, Germany, which was commissioned by the Bavarian King Ludwig I to house his collection of Greek and Roman sculptures (hence γλυπτο- glypto- "sculpture", from the Greek verb γλύφειν glyphein "to carve"). It was designed by Leo von Klenze in the Neoclassical style, and built from 1816 to 1830. Today the museum is a part of the Kunstareal.

The Hochschule für Musik und Theater München (University of Music and Performing Arts Munich) is one of the most respected traditional vocational universities in Germany specialising in music and the performing arts. The seat of the Hochschule is the former Führerbau of the NSDAP, located at Arcisstraße 12, on the eastern side of the Königsplatz. Teaching and events also take place in the locations Luisenstraße 37a, Gasteig, Prinzregententheater (theatre studies) and Wilhelmstraße (ballet).
St. Boniface's Abbey, Munich
St. Boniface's Abbey (Abtei St. Bonifaz) is a Benedictine monastery in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It was founded in 1835 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria, as a part of his efforts to reanimate the country's spiritual life by the restoration of the monasteries destroyed during the secularisation of the early 19th century. The abbey was formally dedicated in 1850. The abbey, erected in Byzantine style, was destroyed in World War II and only partly restored.

Königsplatz (Munich U-Bahn)
Königsplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U2 line of the Munich U-Bahn system. It is located in the Maxvorstadt district. The station is close to many museums including the Kunstareal. The walls behind the platforms are decorated with facsimiles of famous works of art. The station is named after the square above and opened on October 18, 1980. The floor is different from the other stations opened in that year, with gray-blue Azul granite slabs.

Brown House, Munich
The Brown House was the national headquarters of the National Socialist Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) in Germany. A large impressive stone structure, it was located at 45 Brienner Straße in Munich, Bavaria. It was named for the color of the party uniforms. By 1930, party headquarters at Schellingstrasse 50 were too small (with the number of workers increasing from four in 1925 to 50 that year).

The Staatliche Antikensammlungen (State Collections of Antiques) in the Kunstareal of Munich is a museum for the Bavarian state's antique collections for Greek, Etruscan and Roman art. The Bavarian state collection of Ancient Egyptian art is traditionally placed in its own museum. This museum is also complemented by the sculptures collection, which is located in the opposite Glyptothek.

The Paläontologische Museum München ("Palaeontological Museum Munich") is a German national natural history museum situated in Munich, Bavaria. It is associated with the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität. It has a large collection of fossils of animals and plants such as Mesozoic reptiles, early elephants and saber-tooth tigers. One of its highlights is the specimen of the early bird Archaeopteryx discovered in 1991.
Brienner Straße (Munich)
The neoclassical Brienner Straße in Munich is one of four royal avenues and was constructed from 1812 onwards, during the reigns of Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria and his successor Ludwig I, in accordance with a plan by Karl von Fischer and Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell. The avenue is named after the Battle of Brienne.

Ehrentempel
The Ehrentempel ("honor temples") were two structures in Munich, erected by the Nazis in 1935, housing the sacrophagi of the sixteen members of the party who had been killed in the failed Beer hall putsch. On January 9, 1947 the main architectural features of the temples were destroyed by the US-Army as part of denazification.
