Englischer Garten
The Englischer Garten, German for "English Garden", is a large public park in the centre of Munich, Bavaria, stretching from the city centre to the northeastern city limits. It was created in 1789 by Sir Benjamin Thompson (1753–1814), later Count Rumford (Reichsgraf von Rumford) and extended and improved by his successors, Reinhard von Werneck (1757–1842) and Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell (1750–1823), who had advised on the project from the beginning.
Federal Finance Court of Germany
The Federal Finance Court (Bundesfinanzhof) is one of five federal supreme courts of Germany. It is the federal court which is in charge of matters of tax and customs, which are previously sued to the subordinate instance, namely the Finance Courts and which are contested after that. The Federal Finance Court was established in 1950 (succeeding the supreme Finance Court of German Reich - Reichsfinanzhof - established in 1918). It is seated in Munich.
Luitpold Gymnasium
The Luitpold-Gymnasium is a secondary school in Munich, Germany. It was established by Prince Luitpold of Bavaria in 1891 as "Luitpold-Kreisrealschule" to serve the eastern part of the city and its suburbs. It stood in the Alexandrastrasse opposite the National Museum. The building was almost completely destroyed by incendiary bombing in 1944, leaving only parts of the facade and the gymnasium (sports hall).
Siegestor
The Siegestor in Munich, is a three-arched triumphal arch crowned with a statue of Bavaria with a lion-quadriga, similar in style to the Arch of Constantine in Rome, the Marble Arch in London, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. It is located between the Ludwig Maximilian University and the Ohmstraße, where the Ludwigstraße (south) ends and the Leopoldstraße (north) begins. It thus sits at the boundary between the two Munich districts of Maxvorstadt and Schwabing.

The Bavarian National Museum (Bayerisches Nationalmuseum) in Munich is one of the most important museums of decorative arts in Europe.
Ducal Georgianum
The Ducal Georgianum is a theological seminary of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. It was founded in 1494. Pope Benedict XVI studied at the Seminary until 1951. Brothers studying at the seminary affectionately call it "der dookie."
Eisbach
The Eisbach (German for "ice brook") is a small man-made river in Munich. It flows through the park Englischer Garten and is a tributary of the Isar River. A manmade wave has been created on one section. Swimming in the Eisbach is not allowed, but the rule is not enforced, and swimmers can be seen especially on warm summer days.

Münchner Freiheit is a Munich U-Bahn interchange station in the Munich borough of Schwabing-Freimann. Here, the U3 and U6 subway lines part, with U3 continuing west towards Scheidplatz and U6 continuing north towards Freimann. The station serves as a major interchange for northern Munich. Underground, the station consists of two island platforms, each servicing two tracks. On the surface, a bus and tram terminal is located on the corner of Leopoldstraße and Feilitschstraße.

Prinzregentenstraße (Munich)
The Prinzregentenstraße in Munich is one of four royal avenues and runs parallel to Maximilianstraße and begins at Prinz-Carl-Palais, in the northeastern part of the Old Town. The avenue was constructed from 1891 onwards as a prime address for the middle-class during the reign of Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria and is named Prinzregentenstrasse in his honour.
Bavarian State Archaeological Collection
The Bavarian State Archaeological Collection (German: Archäologische Staatssammlung, until 2000 known as the Prähistorische Staatssammlung, State Prehistoric Collection) in Munich is the central museum of prehistory of the State of Bavaria, considered to be one of the most important archaeological collections and cultural history museums in Germany.
Münchner Freiheit
The Münchner Freiheit (called Münchener Freiheit until 1998) is a square in Munich's Schwabing, near the English Garden. It is a popular tourist attraction, especially during winter when one of Munich's largest Christmas markets takes place. A station for the Munich U-Bahn is located at the square and named after it. A German pop group, Münchener Freiheit, derived their name from the location, and have retained the original spelling.

Angel of Peace
The Angel of Peace is a monument in the Munich suburb of Bogenhausen. It is part of the Maximilian Park and a point de vue at the eastern end of a line of sight forming Prinzregentenstrasse. Next to the Isar, slightly elevated above street level, is an open space with a fountain; this has a dolphin waterspout surrounded by four smaller waterspouts.
