Paar
The Paar is a river in Germany and a right tributary of the Danube. For several tens of kilometers it flows parallel to the Lech, at only a few km distance. Near Augsburg, the Paar leaves the Lech valley and turns north-east towards Ingolstadt. It flows into the Danube near Vohburg. Towns along the Paar include Egling, Mering, Aichach, Schrobenhausen and Manching.
Apian-Gymnasium Ingolstadt
The Apian-Gymnasium Ingolstadt is a Gymnasium (high school) in Ingolstadt, Bavaria established in 1971. It was named after Peter Apian (1495–1552) and his son Philipp Apian. Peter Apian was a mathematician at the University of Ingolstadt, Bavaria's oldest university (which was later moved to Munich). His son Philipp (1531–1589) was his successor as the professor of mathematics at Ingolstadt University and the first cartographer to produce a complete map of Bavaria.
Oppidum of Manching
The Oppidum of Manching (German: Oppidum von Manching) was a large Celtic proto-urban or city-like settlement at modern-day Manching, Bavaria. The settlement was founded in the 3rd century BC and existed until c. 50-30 BC. It reached its largest extent during the late La Tène period (late 2nd century BC), when it had a size of 380 hectares. At that time, 5,000 to 10,000 people lived within its 7.2 km walls. Thus, the Manching oppidum was one of the largest settlements north of the Alps.
Hohenwart Abbey
Hohenwart Abbey (Kloster Hohenwart) was a nunnery of the Benedictine Order located at Hohenwart in Bavaria in Germany. The nunnery was founded in 1074, presumably from the monastery at Andechs, by Count Ortolf and his sister Wiltrudis, last of the noble family of the Ratoponen. It was dissolved in 1803 during the secularisation of Bavaria. However, the nunnery found no buyers, and so the nuns were allowed to stay there. From 1878 the site was used as a home for the deaf, dumb and blind.

Tuja-Stadion
Tuja-Stadion (formally known as ESV-Stadion) is a 11,418 capacity stadium in Ingolstadt, Germany. It is primarily used for football and was the home of ESV Ingolstadt until they merged with MTV Ingolstadt to become FC Ingolstadt 04. It also hosted four football matches during the 1972 Summer Olympics. The stadium was modified in 2008 to suit 2nd division criteria. A new stadium is being planned and should be ready for the 2010/11 season.
Hinterkaifeck
Hinterkaifeck, a small farmstead situated between the Bavarian towns of Ingolstadt and Schrobenhausen (approximately 70 km north of Munich), was the scene of one of the most puzzling crimes in German history. On the evening of March 31, 1922, the six inhabitants of the farm were killed with a pickaxe. The murder is still unsolved.
Ingolstadt Manching Airport
Ingolstadt Manching Airport is an airport in Ingolstadt/Manching, Germany. Cassidian, the defence and security subsidiary of EADS, has its headquarters here. The first flight of the Eurofighter prototype took place in Manching. Before the Eurofighter, the F104 and the F4 were flown here testing weapons systems in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management
The WFI - Ingolstadt School of Management is a German business school and the faculty of business administration and economics of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. The WFI (meaning "Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät Ingolstadt") is one of Germany's foremost business schools and the modern successor of Bavaria's first university, i.e. the old University of Ingolstadt.

Ingolstadt Nord station
The station of Ingolstadt Nord (also called the Nordbahnhof in German, which means "North station") is the second, working, passenger station in the town of Ingolstadt, in the state of Bavaria in southern Germany. The other station is Ingolstadt Hauptbahnhof. The station is entered in the official list of Deutsche Bahn station abbreviations as MIN and is classed as a level 5 station (local halt or Nahverkehrssystemhalt) in their station categorisation system.
Audi Tunnel
The Audi Tunnel is a twin-tracked railway tunnel on the Nuremberg–Ingolstadt–Munich high-speed railway just north of Ingolstadt in Bavaria, Germany. It lies just outside Ingolstadt Nord station and passes under part of the Audi car factory site (hence the name) as well as other industrial and residential areas. With a length of 1258 metres (from kilometre post 84.995 to 86.253) it is the second shortest of the new tunnels on this newly-built line.
Barthelmarkt
The Barthelmarkt is an annual fair and beer festival in Manching near Ingolstadt, Germany. It is held every year on the last weekend of August. Though first mentioned in 1354, its roots can be traced back as early as to the 1st century BC, when the Romans established a cattle market in the area. The name "Barthelmarkt" stems from St. Bartholomew, the patron saint of the local church.

Affalterbach, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm
Affalterbach is a village of the Bavarian municipality of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. There is a fossil site about 800 m northwest of the church; the site has been dated to about 16 million years ago on the basis of the presence of the small rodent Megacricetodon aff. bavaricus and the local stratigraphy. The site also contains the dormice Miodyromys aff. aegercii, Glirulus diremptus, Microdyromys cf. complicatus, Prodryomys satus, cf. Bransatoglis sp. , Muscardinus cf.
Kreuztor (Ingolstadt)
The Kreuztor, built in 1385, is the western gateway to the medieval city center of Ingolstadt. The tower's name is derived from the leper house belonging to the Church of the Holy Cross (Kirche zum heiligen Kreuz), which stood to the west of the city walls until its destruction in the Schmalkaldic War in 1546. This seven-turreted guard tower was part of Ingolstadt's second city wall.
