Fuggerei
The Fuggerei is the world's oldest social housing complex still in use. It is a walled enclave within the city of Augsburg, Bavaria. It takes it name from the Fugger family and was founded in 1516 by Jakob Fugger the Younger (known as "Jakob Fugger the Rich") as a place where the needy citizens of Augsburg could be housed. By 1523, 52 houses had been built, and in the coming years the area expanded with various streets, small squares and a church.
Augsburg University of Applied Sciences
Hochschule Augsburg — University of Applied Sciences is a German university located in Augsburg, and was founded in 1971 while the institutions roots as an art academy go back to 1670. With more than 4,300 students the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of its kind in Bavaria. 127 Professors as well as 242 lecturers in 7 faculties are employed there. Currently 36 undergraduate and 12 master courses are offered.

The University of Augsburg is a university located in the Universitätsviertel section of Augsburg, Germany. It was founded in 1970 and is organized in 7 Faculties. The University of Augsburg is a relatively young campus university with approx. 18,000 students in Oct 2012. About 14% of its students come from foreign countries, a larger percentage than at comparable German universities. In October 2011 Sabine Doering Manteuffel succeeded Alois Loidl as rector of the university.
Augsburg-Hochzoll
Augsburg Hochzoll - the district of Hochzoll lies in the east of the city of Augsburg. Hochzoll is bordered on its west by the Lech river, whose waters also feed the Kuhsee (Cow lake) to the south of Hochzoll. To the east, Hochzoll shares its city border with that of Friedberg West, a district of the town of Friedberg.

The Augsburger Puppenkiste is a marionette theater in Augsburg, Germany. It is located at the former Heilig-Geist-Spital in the historic center of Augsburg. Since 1948, the "Augsburger Puppenkiste" had been producing theatrical adaptations of fairy tales and serious pieces. In 1953, it began producing television series and gained nation-wide prominence with productions, such as Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer and Urmel aus dem Eis.

Clara Hätzlerin
Clara Hätzlerin (c. 1430 – 1476) was a professional scribe in 15th century Augsburg. She is most notable for her songbook of 1471, which was among the sources used by Carl Orff for his Die Bernauerin. Clara-Hätzler-Straße in Augsburg is named after her.
Turamichele
Turamichele ("Tower-Michael") is the name of a moving mechanical figure on the Perlach Tower next to Perlach church in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. It shows the Archangel Michael fighting with the devil. Every year on 29 September (Michaelmas or St. Michael's Day) the Turamichele appears in a window on the west side of the tower. The day is also marked by a big children's party.
Perlachturm
The 70-metre-tall Perlachturm is a tower in the central district of Augsburg, Germany. Originally built as a watchtower in the 10th century, it is nowadays part of an ensemble with the City Hall of Augsburg, a landmark of the Reichsstadt.

The Augsburg Railway Park (Bahnpark Augsburg) is a railway museum in Augsburg on part of the former Augsburg locomotive shed owned by the Deutsche Bahn. Augsburg Town Hall
The Town Hall of Augsburg is the administrative centre of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany, and one of the most significant secular buildings of the Renaissance style north of the Alps. It was designed and built by Elias Holl, Stadtbaumeister (Master Builder of the town), in 1615–1624. Due to its historic and cultural importance, it is protected by the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte
The Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte (House of Bavarian History) or HdBG was established in 1983 as an authority of the Free State of Bavaria in Germany and, since 1993, has had its permanent headquarters at Augsburg. On 6 October 1998 it was incorporated into the Bavarian State Ministry for Science, Research and Art (Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst).

Deutsche Barockgalerie
The Deutsche Barockgalerie is an art gallery housed in the Schaezlerpalais in Augsburg. It was set up in 1958 and displays works from the Baroque period from the city's collection (the Städtischen Kunstsammlungen Augsburg) and from private lenders. The magnificent and extensive collection on display includes works by Caravaggio, Durer, Holbein, Tiepolo and Cranach.
Schaezlerpalais
The Schaezlerpalais is a magnificent baroque palace in Augsburg, now used to house the Deutsche Barockgalerie. The Palace extends far back from the street, encompassing dozens of magnificent rooms, courtyards and gardens. The gilded, mirrored, ballroom, built between 1765-70) survives intact, and is widely regarded as the most artistically significant Baroque room in Germany.
Trams in Augsburg
The Augsburg tramway network is the backbone of the public transport system in Augsburg, in the federal state of Bavaria, Germany. Opened in 1881 as a standard gauge horsecar system, the network was converted to a metre gauge electrically powered system in 1898. It is currently operated by Augsburger Verkehrsgesellschaft (AVG).
