The Brenz is a river in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Danube. Its source is at a spring in the town of Königsbronn and it flows for 55 kilometers before meeting the Danube at Lauingen, a few kilometers west of Dillingen. It flows through the towns of Königsbronn, Heidenheim an der Brenz, Giengen and Lauingen.

Echenbrunn Abbey
Echenbrunn Abbey was a Benedictine monastery located at Echenbrunn, now part of Gundelfingen an der Donau in Bavaria, Germany. Dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, the monastery was founded in 1122 by Gumbert von Flochberg, a local noble. It was dissolved in 1556.
Fultenbach Abbey
Fultenbach Abbey (Kloster Fultenbach) was a house of the Benedictine Order located at Holzheim in Bavaria in Germany. Dedicated to Saint Michael, the monastery was founded by Bishop Wikterp or Wigbert, the first documented bishop of Augsburg, who died in 771. It was dissolved in 1803 in the secularisation of the period, and the buildings were demolished in 1811. The monastery library was transferred to the Lyceum at Dillingen.
Wettenhausen Abbey
Wettenhausen Abbey was formerly an Imperial Abbey of the Augustinian Canons until its secularization in 1803. It is now a Dominican convent. The abbey is in Wettenhausen in the municipality of Kammeltal in Bavaria.

Günz
The Günz is a river in Bavaria, Germany, right tributary of the Danube. It is formed near Lauben by the confluence of its two source rivers: the Östliche Günz (eastern Günz) and the Westliche Günz (western Günz). It is approx. 90 km long (including its eastern source river). It flows generally north through the small towns Babenhausen, Deisenhausen, Ichenhausen and Kötz. It flows into the Danube in Günzburg.
Oberrieder Weiher
The Oberrieder Weiher is like many other ponds in the valleys of Günz and Mindel a former gravel pit which is filled with ground water. The pond is located near the river Günz in the municipality of Breitenthal in the district of Günzburg. Because of this origin as gravel pit the form of the Oberrieder Weiher is nearly a square. the specific feature of the Oberrieder Weiher is its area of 34,7 hectare. Sometimes it is said that it is the biggest flooded gravel pit in Bavarian Swabia.
Hürben (Krumbach)
Hürben, today the eastern part of Krumbach in Bavarian Swabia, was an independent village before it was incorporated into the neighbouring town of Krumbach in the year 1902. The Kammel was in most parts the border between Krumbach and Hürben.

Günzburg station
Gunzburg station is an important Swabian railway junction and the only station of the large district town of Günzburg in the German state of Bavaria. The town also has the Wasserburg (Günz) station on the Central Swabian Railway. The station has six platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 3 station. It is served daily by about 125 trains of Deutsche Bahn and Agilis. The Central Swabian Railway branches from the Ulm–Augsburg railway at Günzburg station.
