Rhine
The Rhine is a river that flows from the Swiss canton of Grisons in the southeastern Swiss Alps to the North Sea coast in the Netherlands and is the twelfth longest river in Europe, at about 1,233 km, with an average discharge of more than 2,000 m/s . The Rhine and the Danube formed most of the northern inland frontier of the Roman Empire and, since those days, the Rhine has been a vital and navigable waterway carrying trade and goods deep inland.
Lake Constance
Lake Constance is a lake on the Rhine at the northern foot of the Alps, and consists of three bodies of water: the Obersee ("upper lake"), the Untersee ("lower lake"), and a connecting stretch of the Rhine, called the Seerhein. The lake is situated in Germany, Switzerland and Austria near the Alps. Specifically, its shorelines lie in the German federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg, and the Swiss cantons of Thurgau and St. Gallen.
Mainau
is an island in Lake Constance. It is maintained as a garden island and a model of excellent environmental practices. Administratively, the island has been a part of Konstanz since December 1, 1971, when the municipality of Litzelstetten, of which Mainau was part, was incorporated into Konstanz. Mainau is still part of Litzelstetten, now one of 15 wards (administrative subdivisions) of Konstanz.

Bodenseekreis ("Lake Constance district") is a district (Kreis) in the south-east of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from west, clockwise) Konstanz, Sigmaringen, Ravensburg and Lindau. To the south, Lake Constance forms the boundary to Switzerland and Austria.
Unteruhldingen
Unteruhldingen is a small village, part of the town of Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, on the northwestern shore of Lake Constance, Germany. It is home to the Pfahlbauten, an open air museum displaying reconstructions of Neolithic and Bronze Age pile dwellings. The buildings are idealized reconstructions from between the 1922 and 1941, which were designed based on archeological digs of the Wasserburg Buchau at Federsee.

The University of Konstanz is a university in the city of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was founded in 1966, and the main campus on the Gießberg was opened in 1972. The Fernspählehrkompanie 200 or short FSLK200 is a highly specialized unit of the German Army. Fernspäher is an aged and venerable term for elite reconnaissance troopers, relating to German fern (in this context over long distances) and Späher (scout). Thus, Fernspäher are reconnaissance soldiers who cover great distances to gather intelligence and fulfill their mission. In October 2011 the German ministry of defence announced that FSLK 200 will be deactivated.

Geberit-Arena
Geberit-Arena is a multi-use stadium in Pfullendorf, Germany. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of SC Pfullendorf. The stadium is able to hold 10,000 people and opened in 1955.
Gehrenberg Tower
Gehrenberg Tower is a 30 metres tall observation tower of lattice steel on Gehrenberg, a 754 m high mountain north of Markdorf, standing at an elevation of 704 m. Gehrenberg Tower has some similarities to Eiffel Tower as it also has a bow between its feet. From the observation deck of Gehrenberg Tower, one can see at clear weather the Alps and the Höchsten mountain. Gehrenberg Tower, which carries also antennas, belongs to the town of Markdorf, although it stands on the area of Deggenhausertal.

Battle of Ostrach
