Before 1993 it was called Neckarstadion, named after the nearby river Neckar and between 1993 and July 2008 it was called Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion. Fruit Column
The fruit column (Fruchtsäule) is a 26 metre high wood column heavy decorated with fruits in Stuttgart, Germany. It weighs 3.5 tons and is the landmark of the Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart although it is nowadays towered above by numerous roundabouts. Already at the first people celebration in 1818 there was a fruit column as landmark, which had been sketched and built by the master of building of yards of Wuerttemberg at that time, Nikolaus Thouret.
Cannstatter Wasen
The Cannstatter Wasen is a 35 hectare festival area on the banks of the Neckar river in the part of Stuttgart known as Bad Cannstatt. The Cannstatter Wasen form part of the Neckar Park Fairground. Each year the Wasen hosts the Cannstatter Volksfest and the Stuttgart Spring Festival, along with other events such as concerts and circuses.

Porsche Arena is a multi-purpose arena, located in Stuttgart, Germany. The seating capacity of the arena varies, from 5,100 to 8,000 people and it was opened in 2006, after 14 months of construction. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is an automotive museum housed in Stuttgart, Germany. Stuttgart is home to the Mercedes-Benz brand and the international headquarters of Daimler AG. The current building, which stands directly outside the main gate of the Daimler factory in Stuttgart, was designed by UN Studio. It is based on a unique cloverleaf concept using three overlapping circles with the center removed to form a triangular atrium. The building was completed and opened on 19 May 2006.
Rotenberg (Stuttgart)
Rotenberg is an area within the Untertürkheim district of Stuttgart, Germany (about 6½ km east of the city centre). The area overlooks Untertürkheim and the Neckar valley and lies on the north and east slopes of the hill known as Württemberg (previously Wirtemberg). On this hill the first castle of the Counts of Württemberg was built in 1083 by Conrad of Beutelsbach who subsequently became Konrad I, Count of Württemberg and is considered the founder of the Württemberg dynasty.
Rosenstein Castle
Rosenstein Castle in the Bad Cannstatt district of Stuttgart, Germany was built between 1822 and 1830 by the court builder Giovanni Salucci (1769–1845) in the classical style for King Wilhelm I. The palace stands in Rosenstein Park on a height overlooking the Neckar river valley. Formerly called the Kahlenstein (literally 'bald rock', because it was bare of trees), the hill was renamed Rosenstein ('rose rock'), and a rose garden was planted to the south-east of the palace.
Wirtemberg Castle
Wirtemberg Castle was the ancestral castle of the rulers of Württemberg on the Württemberg mountain, located 411 m above sea level in the current municipality of Rotenberg in Stuttgart, between Bad Cannstatt and Esslingen am Neckar. Between 1080 and 1819 three castles with this name existed at the location. The castle was replaced by the classical Württemberg Mausoleum in 1820-24.
Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle
Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle is an indoor sporting arena located in Stuttgart, Germany. The capacity of the arena is 15,500 people. The hall was built in 1983 and is named for Hanns Martin Schleyer, a German employer representative, and former Nazi SS Officer, who was kidnapped and killed by the terrorist group Red Army Faction. It has a 265-metre track made of wood. The arena hosted the final phase of the 1985 European basketball championship.
Württemberg Mausoleum
The Württemberg Mausoleum is a memorial in the Rotenberg part of Untertürkheim in Stuttgart, Germany. The mausoleum stands on the peak of Württemberg Hill at the westernmost end of Schurwald woods overlooking the Neckar river. The memorial was built for Catherine Pavlovna of Russia (1788–1819), the second wife of William I of Württemberg (1781–1864). The remains of William I and his daughter Maria Friederike Charlotte of Württemberg (1816–1887) are also housed in the mausoleum.
