Oppau explosion
The Oppau explosion occurred on September 21, 1921 when a tower silo storing 4,500 tonnes of a mixture of ammonium sulfate and ammonium nitrate fertilizer exploded at a BASF plant in Oppau, now part of Ludwigshafen, Germany, killing 500–600 people and injuring about 2,000 more.

National Theatre Mannheim
The present National Theatre Mannheim, which dates from 1957, is a theatre and opera company in Mannheim, Germany, with a variety of performance spaces. It is notable for being the oldest local theatre in Germany, having celebrated its 225th anniversary on 7 October 2004. The idea of first building the original National Theatre developed after the suggestion of Elector Palatine Carl Theodor. The first theatre opened in 1779.
Eisstadion am Friedrichspark
Eisstadion am Friedrichspark is an indoor sporting arena located in Mannheim, Germany. The capacity of the arena as an ice hockey rink was 8,200. It was the home arena of Adler Mannheim ice hockey team prior to the SAP Arena opening in 2005. It was built in 1938 and had a long history of hockey games. The greatest event was the match against Düsseldorfer EG in the 1990s when the DEG was still the biggest player in German hockey. The stadium was then filled with over 10,500 people.
Kunsthalle Mannheim
The Kunsthalle Mannheim is a museum of modern and contemporary art, established in 1909 and located in Mannheim, Germany. The building designed by Hermann Billing was erected as a temporary structure to serve an "International Art Exhibition" of 1907, commemorating the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the city.

The Theodor-Heuss-Rhine River Bridge (Theodor-Heuss-Rheinbrücke) also known as the Autobahnbrücke Frankenthal is a bridge that spans the Rhine River along Autobahn 6 and connects the regions of Rhineland-Palatinate with Baden-Wuerttemberg. The four-lane bridge crosses the upper Rhine north of the cities of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim in an east-west direction on the motorway connecting Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, Mannheim, and Viernheim.
Kapuzinerplanken
Kapuzinerplanken is a part of the street Kunststrasse in Mannheim, Germany. It is used only by pedestrians and the so called Strassenbahn, a tram. The Kapuzinerplanken runs parallel to the large planks, the part of the Mannheimer pedestrian precinct, which leads from the water tower to parade square. From 1701 to 1839/40 there had been a monastery, a Kapuzinerkloster, on the road.
Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque
The Yavuz-Sultan-Selim mosque is a religious building in Mannheim, Germany, named for Selim I. It is the biggest mosque in Germany, and attracts up to 3,000 Muslims every weekend. Since the mosque was opened in 1995, Muslim shops and youth centers have become a magnet for the Muslim community.

The Mannheim Observatory was a tower observatory built between 1772 and 1774 in Mannheim, Germany, which remained in operation until 1880. Ludwigshafen (Rhein) Mitte station
The Ludwigshafen (Rhein) Mitte station is in the southern part of the centre of the city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It was established in 2003 and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. It is located next to the public transport hub of Berliner Platz and has good connections to all parts of the city of Mannheim and to the surrounding area.
Konrad Adenauer Bridge (Ludwigshafen am Rhein–Mannheim)
The Konrad Adenauer Bridge is one of two road bridges crossing the Rhine between the German cities of Mannheim and Ludwigshafen am Rhein. The other bridge is the Kurt Schumacher Bridge. The road bridge connects a network of roads from behind Mannheim Palace across the Rhine to Ludwigshafen. It carries Federal Highway 37 and a tram track. Two rail bridges are adjacent to the road bridge, carrying the Palatine Ludwig Railway and the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn line.
