Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe (formerly Carlsruhe) is a city in the state of Baden-Württemberg, in southwest Germany, near the Franco-German border. Karlsruhe Palace was built in 1715 and the town is now the seat of two of the highest courts in Germany, the Federal Constitutional Court and the Federal Court of Justice. It has been speculated that Karlsruhe was a model for Washington, D.C. as both cities have a centre from which the streets radiate outward.

The Federal Court of Justice of Germany in Karlsruhe is the highest court in the system of ordinary jurisdiction (ordentliche Gerichtsbarkeit) in Germany. It is the supreme court (court of last resort) in all matters of criminal and private law. A decision handed down by the BGH can only be reversed by the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany in rare cases when the Constitutional Court rules on constitutionality (compatibility with the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany).
Wolfartsweier
Wolfartsweier (population approx. 3,500) is a village near Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was first mentioned in 1261 AD under the name of "Wolvoldeswilere". The local church was first mentioned in 1329. A small creek, called Wettersbach, runs through the village, but in an underground canal for most of its way. Wolfartsweier has a town hall, a Protestant and a catholic church and community centres, and a public outdoor swimming pool.

Wildparkstadion
The Wildparkstadion is a football stadium located in Karlsruhe, Germany. It is the home of the football club Karlsruher SC. It is located northeast of the Karlsruhe castle (Schloss) and is located in part of the former deer park (Wildpark) of the Grand Dukes of Baden in the Hardtwald, hence the name. There have been soccer fields here since 1922, and the stadium was built in 1955, with several major renovations since.

Europahalle
Europahalle is an indoor sporting arena located in Karlsruhe, Germany. The capacity of the arena is 9,000 people. The venue has featured a number of world record performances in athletics, including a jump of 2.07 m in the high jump by Heike Henkel in 1992, when the Europahalle hosted the German Indoor Championships. This mark remained unbettered indoors for fourteen years and remains one of the best ever performances in the discipline.

Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe
The Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe is a theatre and opera house in Karlsruhe, Germany. It has existed in its present form and place at Ettlinger Tor since 1975. Achim Thorwald became the “Intendant” (Artistic director) in the summer of 2002, retiring at the end of the 2010/11 season, and being replaced by Peter Spuhler from the 2011/12 season onwards.
Botanischer Garten Karlsruhe
The Botanischer Garten Karlsruhe is a municipal botanical garden located in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is open daily except Monday; an admission fee is charged. This garden should not be confused with the nearby Botanischer Garten der Universität Karlsruhe operated by the University of Karlsruhe. The garden was established by Charles III William, Margrave of Baden-Durlach and designed by Carl Christian Gmelin.

Karlsruhe Pyramid
The Karlsruhe Pyramid is a pyramid made of red sandstone, located in the centre of the market square of Karlsruhe, Germany. It was erected in the years 1823–1825 over the vault of the city's founder, Margrave Charles III William (1679–1738). The pyramid is regarded as Karlsruhe's second emblem, the city's absolutist layout in the shape of a folding fan being the first. The pyramid's central location was originally occupied by the Lutheran Concord Church, a Baroque timber-framed building.

The main task of the court is judicial review, and it may declare legislation unconstitutional, thus rendering them ineffective.
