Lörrach (district)
Lörrach is a Kreis in the south-west of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Waldshut. To the west it borders the French département Haut-Rhin; to the south the Swiss cantons Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau.
Swisscom-Sendeturm St. Chrischona
Swisscom-Sendeturm St. Chrischona is a communications tower built in 1980-1984 near Basel, Switzerland. It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:47|34|18|N|7|41|13|E|region:CH-BS_type:landmark |primary |name= }} east of St. Chrischona, on the territory of the municipality Bettingen, Basel-Stadt. It was built as replacement for a 136 metre tall lattice tower, which was erected at the site in 1962. This lattice tower was once a part of famous Beromünster transmitter.
Battle of St. Jakob an der Birs
The Battle of St. Jakob an der Birs was fought between the Old Swiss Confederacy and French mercenaries, on the banks of the river Birs. The battle took place on 26 August 1444 and was part of the Old Zürich War. The site of the battle was near Münchenstein, Switzerland, just above 1 km outside the city walls of Basel, today within Basel's St-Alban district.
Augusta Raurica
Augusta Raurica is a Roman archaeological site and an open-air museum in Switzerland. Located on the south bank of the Rhine river about 20 km east of Basel near the villages of Augst and Kaiseraugst, it is the oldest known Roman colony on the Rhine.

Rheinfelden District lies in the northwest of the canton of Aargau in Switzerland, in the Fricktal region. Its capital is Rheinfelden. Around 88% of the population live in the conurbation of Basel. There are 14 municipalities, with a population of 44,569 (as of 30 June 2012) living in an area of 112.09 km². The population density is around 355 persons per square kilometre.
St. Chrischona
St. Chrischona is a hamlet in the Swiss canton of Basel-Stadt. It is part of the municipality of Bettingen. The centre of the village is located on the highest point of the canton, at 522 metres above sea level. East of St. Chrischona, near the German border, is located a 250 m high communication tower.
St. Jakob-Park
St. Jakob Park is a Swiss sports stadium in Basel. It is the largest football venue in Switzerland and home to FC Basel. "Joggeli", as the venue is nicknamed by the locals, was originally built with a capacity of 33,433 seats. The capacity was increased to 42,500 for Euro 2008, which was hosted by Switzerland and Austria. After the Euro 2008 a number of seats were removed, thus creating more space between them.
St. Jakob Stadium
The St. Jakob Stadium was a football stadium in Basel, Switzerland and the former home of Swiss club FC Basel. It was built in 1954, and as well as serving as a club stadium, it hosted several important matches, including a 1954 FIFA World Cup semi-final and four Cup Winners' Cup finals.
Basel Institute for Immunology
The Basel Institute for Immunology (BII) was founded in 1969 as a basic research institute in immunology located at 487 Grenzacherstrasse, Basel, Switzerland on the Rhine River down the street from the main Hoffmann-La Roche campus near the Swiss-German border. The institute opened its doors in 1971. The institute was a unique concept in the history of mechanisms for funding basic science and the relationship between basic science and industry.
Feldschlösschen
Feldschlösschen is a brand of beer. The brewery, with the main facility located in Rheinfelden, Switzerland is the biggest brewery in Switzerland and was founded in 1876. It bought out Cardinal in 1991. It was bought by Carlsberg in 2000. The brewery is in the shape of a castle and Feldschlösschen means 'small castle in the fields' in German.

St. Jakobshalle
St. Jakobshalle is an arena in Münchenstein, near Basel, Switzerland. It is primarily used for indoor sports and concert events. The St. Jakobshalle holds 9,000 people and was built in 1976. It is the home of the Davidoff Swiss Indoors men's tennis tournament. After the success of the Swiss tennis player and Basel native Roger Federer, the Basel sports director has announced the arena is to be renamed the 'Roger Federer Arena'.

The Vitra Design Museum is an internationally renowned, privately owned museum for design in Weil am Rhein, Germany. Vitra CEO Rolf Fehlbaum founded the museum in 1989 as an independent private foundation. The Vitra corporation provides it with a financial subsidy, the use of Vitra architecture, and organizational cooperation.
Swiss Indoors
The Swiss Indoors is a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. Originally an event of the Grand Prix tennis circuit between 1970 and 1989. It is currently part of the World Tour 500 Series of the ATP Tour. It is held annually at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, in October, since 1995. Roger Federer holds the record for most singles titles, having won the tournament five times, in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
Birsköpfli
The Birsköpfli (also called Birskopf, German for Birs River Head) is a leisure and bathing area in the Swiss city of Basel and its neighbouring municipality Birsfelden. It is located at the confluence of the Birs river with the Rhine river. Geographically the Birsköpfli only means the area bounded by the Birs and the Rhine in the borough Breite; other boundaries are the Blackwood Bridge and the main road to Birsfelden.
Rötteln Castle
Rötteln Castle, located above the Lörrach suburb of Haagen, lies in the extreme southwest corner of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The fortification was one of the most powerful in the southwest, and today is the third largest castle ruin in Baden. The ruins of the castle are situated on a widely visible forested hill 422 metres above sea level. The keep lies on a spur projecting from the steep sided east side of the lower Wiese valley.

Fortified Church of St. Arbogast
The Fortified Church of St. Arbogast (German: Wehrkirche St. Arbogast) in the municipality of Muttenz in the Swiss canton of Basel-Land is the only church in Switzerland that is surrounded by a defensive wall. It is an example of the fortified church type of construction, and is a Swiss heritage site of national significance The fortified church of St. Arbogast, serving the local evangelical community, was built in the late Middle Ages.
Stadion Rankhof
Stadion Rankhof is a football stadium in Basel, Switzerland. It has a capacity of 7,600 with 1,000 seats and 6,600 standing places. The record attendance of the original stadium was about 30'000 spectators. The Stadium was rebuilt between 1993 and 1995. The stands face south towards the grass pitch. The north side of the stadium is completely construed of glass to protect against the wind. The dimenstion of the pitch is 100 x 64 metres. It has a grass surface and flood-lighting.
Lörrach Central Station
Lörrach Central Station (Lörrach Hauptbahnhof) is one of seven stations and halts in Lörrach in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The station located on the Wiese Valley Railway (Wiesentalbahn) from Basel Badischer station to Zell im Wiesental and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. Its train services are part of the Basel Regional S-Bahn and are operated by SBB GmbH, a subsidiary of Swiss Federal Railways.
