L'Opéra of the Palace of Versailles
L'Opéra Royal de Versailles (Royal Opera of Versailles) is the main theatre and opera house of the Palace of Versailles. Designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, with interior decoration by Augustin Pajou, the Opéra was constructed entirely of wood and painted to resemble marble in a technique known as faux marble. The house is located at the northern extremity of the aile des nobles. General public access to the theater is gained though the two-story vestibule.
Théâtre Montansier
The Théâtre Montansier is a French theatre in rue des Réservoirs, Versailles, near the royal château. It was created by the actress and theatre director Mademoiselle Montansier, designed by Jean-François Heurtier, inspecteur général des bâtiments du roi and designer of the Salle Favart at the Opéra-Comique. The theatre opened 18 November 1777, with Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette in attendance.
Arboretum de Chèvreloup
The Arboretum de Chèvreloup (195 hectares) is a major arboretum located just north of the Palace of Versailles at 30, route de Versailles, Rocquencourt, Yvelines, Île-de-France, France. It forms part of the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, and is open several days per week in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged. The site dates to 1699 when Louis XIV acquired the hamlet of Chèvreloup, demolishing its walls to form a hunting ground near his castle.
Latona Fountain
The Latona Fountain lies in the Latona Basin between the Chateau de Versailles and the Grand Canal. On the top tier, there is a statue of the goddess Latona. The fountain operates three times a week during the high season.

Cemetery of Notre-Dame, Versailles
The Cemetery of Notre-Dame, Versailles, is a cemetery in Versailles, Yvelines, France, near the Palace of Versailles. It was established by the church and parish of Notre-Dame in 1777, and covers three hectares. The postal address is 15 Rue des Missionnaires. Besides quantities of burials of aristocrats, members of religious orders and people of artistic or historic interest, there is also an enclosed section for soldiers of the Prussian army who fell during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71.
