Maisons-Alfort – Stade (Paris Métro)
Maisons-Alfort - Stade is a station on line 8 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Maisons-Alfort. The station opened on 19 September 1970 with the extension of the line from Porte de Charenton - Écoles. It was the eastern terminus of the line until its extension to Maisons-Alfort - Les Juilliottes on 27 April 1972.
Marne (river)
The Marne is a river in France, a right tributary of the Seine in the area east and southeast of Paris. It is 514 kilometres long. The river gave its name to the départements of Haute-Marne, Marne, Seine-et-Marne, and Val-de-Marne. The Marne starts in the Langres plateau, runs generally north then bends west between Saint-Dizier and Châlons-en-Champagne, joining the Seine at Charenton just upstream from Paris.
Bois de Vincennes
The Bois de Vincennes, located on the eastern edge of Paris, is the largest public park in the city. It was created between 1855-1866 by the Emperor Louis Napoleon.
Charenton (asylum)
Charenton was a lunatic asylum, founded in 1645 by the Frères de la Charité in Charenton-Saint-Maurice, now Saint-Maurice, Val-de-Marne, France. Charenton was known for its humanitarian treatment of patients, especially under its director the Abbé de Coulmier in the early 19th century. Famous prisoners were held in the Charenton asylum including Latude, the Comte de Sanois and Marquis de Sade (from 1801 until his death in 1814 at the age of 74).
Vélodrome de Vincennes
The Vélodrome de Vincennes (officially Vélodrome Jacques Anquetil - La Cipale) is a stadium in Vincennes, near Paris, France. Initially built as a velodrome in 1894, it became the main stadium for the 1900 Summer Olympics; Events that took place in the Velodrome at the 1900 Summer Olympics included cycling, cricket, rugby union, football and gymnastics. However, the track and field events were held at the Racing Club de France. At the 1924 Summer Olympics it became the cycling (track) venue.

Nearby are the École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort and the Musée Fragonard d'Alfort, a museum of anatomical oddities.

The Musée Fragonard d'Alfort, often simply the Musée Fragonard, is a museum of anatomical oddities located within the École Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort, 7 avenue du Général de Gaulle, in Maisons-Alfort, a suburb of Paris. It is open several days per week in the cooler months; an admission fee is charged. The École Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort is one of the world's oldest veterinary schools, and the museum, created in 1766 with the school, is among France's oldest.

Pagode de Vincennes
The Pagode du bois de Vincennes is the seat of the Institut international bouddhique founded by Jean Sainteny who was the manager of the institute. It is located in a former building of the exposition coloniale de 1931, designed by the architect Louis-Hippolyte Boileau. On this 8 000 m² site on the edge of the lac Daumesnil are located two buildings of remarkable architecture.
Kagyu-Dzong
The Kagyu-Dzong center is a Buddhist center in Paris, affiliated to the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. This center is linked to the 17th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje. It is situated in a temple of Tibetan and Bhutanese style that was inaugurated January 27, 1985, constructed nearby the "Pagode du bois de Vincennes", site of the Institut international bouddhique founded by Jean Sainteny. In 1980, Kalu Rinpoche conferred in the Pagode du bois de Vincennes the Initiation of Kalachakra.
